I like to celebrate valentine’s day in a very simple but a memorable way! I am not a material person, and it doesn’t matter for me even without exchanging of material things particularly flowers and chocolates during Valentine’s Day but being with my Loved ones celebrating this very special day with a happy moments is what matters for me. 🙂
I am simple housewife with a simple wish.My husband is not sweet at all..(as in hindi nuh).
I want something He would surprise me a simple things like a pair of VICTORIA SECRET lingerie.or maybe a trip for two in PALAWAN…. or even a dinner date in the finest five star restaurant.
But honestly I would not mind any of these a simple “message is fine with me”
I celebrate my valentines day, receiving an early phone call at 5am from my husband. He greeted me and ask me to go online (via Skype). He’s working at the other side of the globe,though its not a hindrance for us to still celebrate this valentine season. We are just physically apart, but our hearts felt the love! Facing at the computer screen greeting each other while sipping our favorite Nescafe coffee, and saying our “i love you’s..simple but indeed so sweet 🙂
Valentines Day for me is such a great day for me. Valentines day is also a day to show how we love someone, even our family or friends and relatives. On that day, I really show them how much they matter to me. But not only on Valentine’s Day I need to express to them my love, I should show it every single day. Being single is not a bar for me not to celebrate this kind of day. Its wonderful to be able to share such intimate moments with the one I love, we must cherish every second we have with them. I spent Valentines night with my Father at his bedside, not romantic but without this man I wouldnt be able to share valentines day with anyone. Sipping a hot coffee and sharing thoughts with each other are our means in celebrating this day. I wasnt able to be with the one I love but maybe next year will be different. Lover goes out with their lovers. Single goes out with other singles. There is no lonely days if we just open our heart. 🙂
My husband and I celebrated the Valentines day after February 14. Actually he doesn’t know what I’m doing during that time.
To avoid spending so much money, I’ve decided to make our valentines more splendid in a simple way. Our house has a 3rd floor so I’ve decided to set up a small table. I put red arrows “THIS WAY PLEASE!” in different phase of our house pointing to the 3rd floor. I cooked his favorite dish “adobo”, tortang talong and rice (even it’s not magarbo.. sobrang delicious naman. I made a table set up and then on the half of the table I put 3 small chocolate cupcakes, in every cupcake there is a small stick twirling a laminated picture of us. When everything is already prepared, i called him and cover his eyes, he saw what I prepared, he kissed me and says, “I love you mahal and thank you for this!” I got teary-eyed and in my surprise he gave me one long stem ecuadorian rose.
