FOTD: Two-Faced Fairy Goth Princess

Halloween is a little over a week from now and I am still undecided about my costume.  So, last night I decided to try on two different looks at the same time doing half of my face only for each look, ergo the title of my FOTD:  Two-Faced  Fairy Goth Princess.   Half of my face is an upbeat sunshiny pixie fairy with colorful twinkling eyes, half is a dark and sinister goth princess or vampire woman kinda like the Black Swan but not.

Here are the makeup items I used :

Goth Princess

Look #1

Goth Princess

This look highlights heavy dark and heavy eyeliner. I used the K-Palette Black eyeliner for this. Brush on some gray eyeshadow on the lids for more depth. The apply the false eyelashes. I used the falsies from the Shu Uemura Karl Lagerfeld Holiday 2012 collection. It does create an impact! I love it! Some dark berry lips and a little blush on. The finish off with a shimmery loose powder.

Pixie Fairy

Look #2

Bold colorful eye color was highlighted in this look. I used the Virginia Olsen Mineral Cosmetic Eye shadow in Gold Bars all over the eyelids up to the eyebrow and Solar Flare in the middle section of my eyelids. Then I lined it with the Blue Aqualiner from Penshoppe. Lined my eyes near water line with the brown K-Palette Eyeliner. Then I put on the falsies from the Shu Uemura Spring Summer 2011 collection. I also finished-off the look by brushing some shimmery loose powder, I used the Physicians Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Illuminating Viel that gives that very natural effervescent glow effect fit for a pixie fairy.

The falsies are very important in creating theatrical eyes. Without them the look has less impact. If you can’t afford the Shu Uemura falsies most of the Korean beauty stores offer very cheap falsies you can use to create a look with an impact.

I hope I inspired you somehow with this post. Please do tell if you will try out any of the two looks or even just create an inspiration from the looks I posted above.

You can use the looks at amazing Halloween parties in the Metro starting next week. You can go bar hop without a hassle because you will be just wearing makeup and not bulky costume. You can also enjoy dancing or even trick or treating with your kids who can be Taylor Swift of Justin Beiber with their or a zombie musician if you can make them wear scary costume. Just make sure to include a guitar for kids as their props.

Happy Halloween!
