They are the beauty products I highly recommend. I also included a brief information on why I love them. Best of 2012 Beauty Award Best of 2012 Beauty Awards

Why I think they are the best:

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Kerastase Nutritive OleoRelax LeaveIn
Kerastase Nutritive Serum Oleo-Relax Anti-Friz Leave-in Conditioner  L’Oreal gave this to me during one of their Kerastase Fusio Dose launch in November 2011 and I started using it more often during summer of 2012 after my hair stylist at Headzone in Shangri-la recommeded  I use it often as I could especially when I am exposed to the sun most especially in the beach!   My stylist recommended to put it on my hair overnight before my planned trip to the beach so as not to get my hair fried and damaged because of the sun, sea and chlorine treated water from the pool.   I did as he said and I was amazed how my hair remained soft, shiny and lively even when I basked in the sun and sea for my beach trip.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 LOreal Professionel Mythic Oil

L’Oreal  Professionel Mythic Oil Tell me if I am wrong but most of us use hair dryer, curling iron, or straightening iron to make our hair picture perfect all the time. The problem is doing so dries and damage our hair making it less shiny, limp and lifeless. What I love about theMythic Oilis it doesn’t weigh the hair down making it look limp and heavy and it’s not greasy. It’s weightless and it gives the shine and life our hair needs. Best use before and after blow drying or ironing your hair. One to two pumps can do the trick!

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Shu Uemura Raspberry Mocha Eye Palette

Shu Uemura Limited Edition Chololat-Donna Collection Raspberry and Mocha Palette (Autumn/Fall 2012) aside from the very delicious looking packaging (that almost made me not wanna use it and just stare at it’s beauty) is that it’s very pigmented and the color is long lasting. The shades in the Raspberry and Mocha palette are very basic that you can use this one palette for day and night makeup.  I love that is has matte, glittery and translucent finish all in one palette!   I got this palette last August 2012 during the launch of the Shu Uemura Chocolat-Donna mode makeup at Chocolate Fire and since then I use it very frequently.  Here is a look I created using this palette: FOTD: Chocolate Truffles!

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Fairdrops volume burst mascara

Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara If you are like me who is intimidated with false lashes, fret no more.  The Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara makes your natural eye lashes full and thick that it gives the effect of having false lashes on even if you aren’t.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 KPalette Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pen

K-Palette 2Way Eyebrow Pen What I love best about this is that it makes perfect eyebrows without making it look too drawn . The powder on the other end gives it the nice  texture you need and the liquid makes good a outline to fill the brows.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Lancome Teint Miracle

Lancome Teint Miracle Of all the liquid foundation I’ve tried this one is my ultimate favorite. It gives a very natural effect so natural that I look like I don’t have foundation on. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky and it makes my skin look supple and radiant.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Creme Compact

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Creme Compact  If you don’t like using liquid or two way compact foundation because you feel you are too made up then you can try this one out.  The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Creme Compact gives that made up effect a foundation gives but lighter (coverage is light to medium and you can build it up).  Best thing about this is its moisturizer and “foundation” in one. It’s perfect for daily wear and if you want that very natural looking makeup anytime (summer or winter).

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain  When my lips feel dry and it about to get chapped,  I take this lippy out and my lips feels relieved immediately.  I love the soothing effect it gives and I dunno about the others who have tried it but it has this minty essence that I love maybe because it’s a lipstick and lip balm in one.  I also love the hint of color it gives depending on which shade I use.  My favorite Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain  are Honey, Adore and Charm.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Shu Uemura Supreme Matte Lipstick

Shu Umura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte Lipstick Among all the matte lipstick I’ve tried this one tops it all. It definitely  reign supreme in terms of color pay-off (very pigmented) and wearability (long-wearing and color doesn’t fade off and doesn’t smudge off easily) .  However those with super dry and chapped lips should take precaution better exfoliate lips first then use lip balm to make it appear smoother on dry lips. For those with healthy lips use as is but if you want glossy effect top with lip balm or gloss.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Revlon Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel

Revlon Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel Most of us don’t really have the luxury of time to sit down for hours in a nail salon to have our nails done so more often than not we end up doing our own nails. But waiting for our nail polishes to dry can sometimes be a drag especially when you are in a hurry. You end up doing something else like you usually do (multi-tasking). Then all of a sudden you just ruined your newly polished hair. Well, the Revlon Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel is something you should keep in your beauty must have emergency fix. It dries so fast it’s amazing! Yes,I sound so commercial but that is how impressed I am with this nail polish. They come in 24 or more shades so you have a lot to choose from!

EG Beauty Awards 2012 GlutaC Intense Whiteing Undearm Bikini Gel

Gluta-C Intense Whitening Underarm and Bikini Whitening Gel I am very much impressed with this product. For something that is very cheap (Php199.00 per tube) it was able to deliver it’s promise of lighter underarms that you can get from the other expensive brands.  What I like most about this product is that you can immediately see the effects (as early as 3-4 days of continued use).   It definitely got rid of my chicken skin and even-out my underarm skin tone.  I’ve learned of the Gluta-C Intense Whiteing UA and Bikini Gel during the launch at Momo Cafe in August 2012 and since then I’ve been using it a lot.   You need to use it continuously to achieve the result you wanted.  You will notice  the periods of  shaving/waxing/ plucking become less frequent than before and it is best to use a night after shaving/plucking or waxing.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Charm Travel Pointed Brush

Charm Travel Pointed Brush I usually use my fingers when applying liquid foundation but when Sophie gave me this pretty brush in August 2012  I fell in love with it and realized now why most makeup artist love using makeup brush in applying liquid foundation.  What impressed me the most with this brush is that it can reach onto the most smallest area of my face (particularly the under eye area) and makes liquid foundation application as even as possible.

EG Beauty Awards 2012 Charm Travel Pro Makep Brush Set

Charm Travel Pro Makeup Brush Set I got this makeup brush set in 2011 but I haven’t got the chance to give it the recognition it needs.  So far my brushes are still in tip-top shape so it means they are very durable!   This was actually one of the best and most affordable professional and complete brush set I had.  I got the Charm Travel Pro Makeup Brush Set when I finally get the hang of doing my own makeup and maybe do it maybe professionally and not just a hobby and something I do for myself only (but I haven’t).  I recommend this set to those who travel a lot and even for newbies who want to practice and take up makeup lessons.

Has any of you tried any of of the items I just mentioned above?   If not it’s not too late to try them out in 2013, after all, unlike fashion, beauty products and beauty trends stays longer and the best beauty products we love usually are kept as permanent items by our favorite makeup and beauty brands because they are their best sellers and are in-demand.

How about you, what makes up the best of your 2012 beauty finds that merit a recognition from you?

P.S. : Those who got the award are free to copy-paste the badge or text for your products.  Thank you so much for letting me try and review your product in the most unbiased way that I could.   Here’s hoping for more amazing beauty products from your company.

Stay gorgeous everyone!

  1. I wasn’t a fan of mascara since I usually end up having ‘raccoon eyes’ during/after use until I tried Fairydrops Volum Burst. It’s very easy to apply and it dries easily. It really gives your lashes the much needed volume since we Asians usually have sparse lashes, AND CURL even with just one or two coats. I don’t have raccoon eyes when I use mascara anymore, and it’s easy to remove too!

As to Gluta-C, I shall try that on my next trip to the beauty/drug store. My interest is piqued! Glad to have come across your site. 🙂

  2. I looove, loove, love how you wrote and presented the review Earth!

My beauty resolution for this year is to prettify more, so I would be back here to check out your reviews 😉
