I’ve been asked by a lot of readers about the best mascara out there that gives volume and curl effortlessly, all I can think about is the Maybelline Hello Kitty Volum Express Hypercurl Cats Eyes Mascara that gives this not just volume and curl but length as well. Too bad it was a limited edition mascara, so it’s not out in the market. There are other versions but I haven’t tried them yet. Anyway, if someone will ask me of a mascara that gives that “falsies” look, I can fib about this one, the Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara!
The Fairydrops volume burst mascara is a volumizing mascara that contains Volume Up Powder, Wax and Fiber that provides a strong curl that lasts all day. They have a waterproof version which is sweat proof and perfect for those who engage in water sports.

If you take a look closely you can see that the bristles are different. Instead of the usual straight or curved, it is lumped or bulked in three curves.
This shape is what they call 3 teardrop brush that allows even the tiniest lashes from the roots to be caught in the bristles. If you also notice the mascara brush is thick on the bottom and sharp at the ends, this is to create that thicker baby doll lashes!
On my eye lashes
- If you take a closer look at the photos above. Top is the before using the Fairydrops mascara and below is after using it. The voluming and curling effect is very prominent and obvious.
- I love how it looks on me, my eyelashes look naturally thick and curled even without using an eyelash curler
- Make sure to apply it properly and apply it fast as it tends to try quickly.
- If you want thicker lashes then apply more than two coats of it!
Do I recommend it?
Yes. But it’s a bit pricey at Php950.00. You may opt to use falsies or this one. It’s up to you.
