Birthing Pains: Earthlingorgeous Site Overhaul

A  couple of weeks ago, I saw a peculiar link appearing at the top left corner of my blog.  I thought it was nothing serious and I can remove it easily by editing my blog’s style sheet.   Little did I know, it was inserted by a hacker and my blog has been hacked since April 2013.    I learned of the hacking because I asked for my host server to help me out first in removing the links.   It took them time to get back to me and tell me my site was hacked.  They changed everything passwords and all and cleaned my plugins and all that was infected by the ma l a wa re (sorry had to type it like that for safety purposes).

Because of the hacking incident I lost more than 10,000 unique visits a month beginning April to May 2013!  That number loss is huge number no wonder rankings been going down and my ad-sense income got super slow.

Since I discovered I was hacked I had to throw away the old theme/ blog lay-out I’ve been using for five years as advised by my host.   I have uploaded a lot of blog layout and did a lot of tweeking since then, I think I have had more than 5 themes since then but today I decided to  go with this new theme.

What I love best about this new blog layout is that it is very responsive ,meaning the page size will respond according to the screen size of your device:

I still have a lot of tweeking to do ,a lot of missing buttons and plugins and all and hopefully get the site working the way it was before and get that lost 10,000 plus readership!
