What I love about the Philippine State of the Nation (SONA) is that we get to see Filipiniana dresses (terno, patadyong, maria clara, barong, and other Filipiniana outfit and attire) at its finest. We don’t usually get to see them even in formal events held in the Philippines. The only time we get to see this is at the SONA or maybe in fiestas in provinces but not as usual.
Here’s a “class” photo of the 16th Congress . The male senators are wearing Barong, while the female senators are wearing their modern take of the Terno while Senator Loren Legardo choose to wear a Muslim national dress inspired attire.
