More than two years ago when I had my Canadian guy friend came for a visit and stayed at home, I let him experience an authentic Filipino way of living. Among the things he was able to do is how a typical Pinoy home wash their laundry — by hand. It was not a fun chore to do especially if you are not used to it. He said this is one of the things he didn’t like doing because it involved a lot of getting his hands wet (and maybe if he is not careful,he will get his shoes wet too! because he didn’t took off his shoes when he did).

I’ve to admit, I was kinda embarrassed and a bit offended when he said that. It is kinda hard to explain how things work in the Philippines to a foreigner who lived in a rich country where water is free flowing from the faucet compared to here that you have to wait for your turn because of the water rationing system. With that said, I lead you to my laundry area where you can see two drum of water storage (small and large) , laundry basins, and my top load washing machine.

- Since water is scarce I use the washing machine to wash the dirty laundry, if there’s water supply coming from the faucet I’d fill the wash tub up. But if there’s no water from the faucet yet then I load the wash tub manually. It takes about the whole small drum to fill u the washer tub!
- I rinse by hand about three times, and then soak with fabric conditioner…
- Then I use the dryer to squeeze off all those excess water before before I hang the clothes to totally dry by air and sunlight!
I though that was normal way of doing this chore or well when you do things for the longest time it becomes the norm. Until I got acquainted with the Electrolux Time Manager front load washing machine during the Mommy Knows Best event two weeks ago at the Electrolux Customer Service Hub at Osmena Highway in Makati City.

- An Electrolux Time Manager front load machine saves Money ,Time and the Environment as it saves water, electricity, detergent and time because of the Load Sensor that detects the weight of the laundry. It then detects the amount optimal amount of water, detergent and wash cycle needed to get the load clean. A top load washing machine uses and average of 160 liters of water the time machine uses an average of 49 liters of water only. You also need to submerge the clothes in water in the top load washer. You don;t need to do that with the Time Machine front load washing machine.
- Saves electricity because of it’s Inverter Drive System that cuts your electric consumption by half! The Time Machine uses a rough estimate of 225 watts while a front load uses about 400-500 watts in average.
- Since it is the Time Machine you can delay the time when your was starts or ends with the time settings. With a top load you only have to rely on the timer.
- Removes allergens in clothes by 99.9% through it’s Vapour Action and Reflesh Cycle that relaxes the fibers and streams out the wrinkles in your clothes. If you use the spin dryer from you top load machine it will get the clothes super wrinkled. .
- If you buy an Electrolux Time Machine, they will deliver it straight to your home, assess your home and install it according to your household needs, hold a demo on how to use the machine . But the customer service doesn’t stop after installing your machine as it has a lifetime warranty too. With Electrolux new Customer Service Hub all parts and everything
You may watch this video explaining the top-of-the line features of the Time Manager Machine
The Electrolux Time Manager Machine price range starts from Php32,900.00 for a washer, while the washer plus dryer starts at Php50,900.00.. While it may sound expensive, the amount you save in time, water, electricity, detergent and even fabric conditioner I can say it is worth an investment.

Nowadays, you have to save money, water, and electricity that’s why I want to switch from top load to front load washing machine. Having a front load washing machine will help you to do other household chores because it also save your time and make you productive while doing your laundry.
The thought of saving water, electricity and time, not to mention laundry detergent plus the cool image in my head having an awesome, “hi-tech” washing machine in my house that i can show of to friends instead of my old, electric, water guzzling top loading washing machine is a chance i won’t pass up. Wouldn’t want to pass up on any chance that could make my life a lot more convenient.
I had convinced my mom three years ago to switch to a front load machine since top load washing machine tends to wobble at times plus the front load ones is really saves water bill! We love our Electrolux Front Load washing machine!
As a mother is front load washing machine is such a big help and i will definitely switch if given a chance
Yes of course, if i have given a chance to switch, why not? Actually, its not because its on top or front load, its on the performance of the washing machine. From what i read about Electrolux Time Manager Machine, the convenience of the use to the electricity bill and water consumption, i would definitely switch. Even though the investment is quite big, the quality is there and its reallyy sulit!! So if my washing machine is Electrolux Time Manager Machine, no questions asked i would definitely switch on the front load.
