The Future of Cash: VMoney

Imagine when you don’t need to line up in a bank or ATM machine to deposit or withdraw money.   Imagine not needing to carry a wallet when you are enjoying the sun and sea when in a vacation at the beach.  Imagine being able to even the smallest detail on where your money went online.  Imagine the power of controlling your money instead of it controlling you.  The possibilities are endless!

I am totally impressed with this new “financial” product I came across with just this weekend, VMoney.   It is a prepaid Mastercard that gives you the power over your money, use it anywhere you are in the world.   If everyone will understand this product right, the way I have, everyone would jump in and get one right away, no questions asked.   I tell you this is the future of money or rather the need to not carry money with you whenever, wherever you go.

VMoney works like a debit and credit card, if you know the concept of a prepaid Mastercard or Visa Card it’s like that but better.     With VMoney you can  do more than spend and use it as a regular debit and credit card.  You can see all the financial transactions you’ve done on your account online if you have withdrawn, sent money, buy (food grocery drinks clothes airline ticket book hotel) ,somebody sends you funds, pay bills etc!   And everything is seen in real time and you can see ALL transactions from the day you opened the account up to present.  Everything is transparent so you can see where your money went.  You can also buy prepaid (bank and BSP regulations) but 1 point is equal to 1 peso so no sweat.

VMoney review at Earthlingorgeous.com
The one on top is a photo of their tap+pay options, the card reader inserted on the USB port of a mobile device, the watch with the Chip connected to your VMoney account (tamper proof and snatcher proof!), there’s a sticker and keychain version of this too!  Hopefully by April next year (2014) they will test  drive the tap and pay in Boracay just in time for the Holyweek.  So people can run around without the need to carry their wallets  or credit cards while enjoying the sun and sea and just wear the wristwatch on like a fashion statement.

Honestly, when I got the message to attend their event to introduce this product, but was told that I need to sign-up at their website first so I can get the “card” at the event day itself,I was a bit apprehensive.  I saw they need personal info and was asking for  a government issued ID to approve my “card” application.  I’m not that trustworthy when it comes to my legal documents especially giving it online, we know scammers are everywhere.  But since my sister personally knows the person who invited me to the event  I trust that I can run after them as her company and her name is at stake here so I signed up to see and I’m glad I did

I haven’t used my VMoney at any establishment yet , but as soon as I have I will tell you how it all went down.  We were told that VMoney is acknowledge anywhere in the world  will have to see if it works in Macau!  Cross fingers.

I am very excited about this product.  I’m glad to be  one of the first to try it out here in the Philippines.

Why I want VMoney: I will graduate and at the same time I am launching my own clothing line next year and this device will really help me a lot for pop-up shops and bazaars. Actually I have been looking for device like this in the Philippines. I found Square and it’s PayPal counterpart but they are both not yet available in the Philippines. Again, this device will help me A LOT for my business.

I would love to get a VMoney, because I love how functional it is! I only use cash, and it gets hard time to time using only cash. It’ll be a whole lot easier with the VMoney. Not only that, but it sounds much safer. I love the fact that it’s Tamper, and snatcher proof, there will be less chances of people losing money.
