So I receive three different kinds of headphones, not for review but as a gifts. But I decided to write a headphones face-off in case any of you would be interested to know which ones to buy among the brands that are making a lot of noise lately. But among the three of them only 1 of them gets my nod and a thumbs-up!

The three brands I got were Urbanears, Sol Republic and Elecom.

Orange headset is from Urbanears, NeonGreen is from Sol Republic and Yellow with Orange is from Elecom.

Elecom

Elecom is a Japanese electronics company, headquartered in Osaka, Japan. They are best known for their modern design, especially with their mice. What I think about Urbanears

Price: US$79.95 or about Php3,300.00
Sound Quality: 9 out of 10
Aesthetics: 10 out 10
Ease of Use: 10 out 10 snug on the head and the ear but not too tight, adjustable and very soft, color is so hip and trendy. love that the wires is not bendable or won’t easily snap because is made of cord! Washable too! Love it!

What I think about Sol Republic

Price: US$39.99 or about Php1,600.00 although I was told the cheapest available is Php2,200.00
Sound Quality: 0out of 10 sounds like canned and I can barely hear a thing. Unless they gave me a defective one?
Aesthetics: 8 out of 10
Ease of Use: 6 out of 10 because I am not fond of in-ear headphones

What I think of Elecom

Price: Php790.00
Sound Quality: 0 out of 10 I barely hear a sound even if I had my tunes to the max volume! probably it was defective?
Aesthetics: 7 out of 10 the smiley and color combination is pretty cute.
Ease of Use: 6 out of 10 yup I don’t like in-ear headphones

  1. Hi! I had an experience like I thought it was broken but when I tried moving the volume control it worked! Maybe try doing that. Maybe the volume is turned off. 🙂
