This was a lingering thing I want to do in my bucket list and so when we went to the Manila Ocean Park for the second time around and checked in again at H20 Hotel,I did not miss the opportunity to be a mermaid for a day!
Manila Ocean Park has this Be a
Mermaid experience. It used to be
Php1,500.00 just to swim with the mermaid tail for 30 minutes with a trainer who will teach you how to swim with a mermaids tail and a pictorial wherein you can get one printout of the entire shoot. But since summer is over maybe? That they lowered the price of the Mermaid Experience to
Php400.00 only! I think that is a good deal.
I think that is just a bummer. Why give me just one pic from that entire shoot? That sucks so,I had to pay an extra
Php350.00 just to get the entire things.
Money is worth good pictures. Money is nothing compared to good memories. Money can easily be earned. That is my mantra.
I was actually planning to do this mermaid experience in Boracay but when I learned they have it here in Manila, I rather do it here, less expense on my part. After all I am after the experience!
The photographer said hold the starfish, show it to me!

And them the trainer had me swim to another pool for a shoot. He taught me how I can move my legs so I can float.
The trainer had to dump me in there coz it was hard to move with the mermaid tail on. That thing is heavy!
It was also hard to move the tails and to swim with it on! It was a complete abs workout with calves and legs and arms! Phew!
I salute all the actors and actresses who play mermaid roles, it is hard to move and swim with this thing on!
Maybe there is a lighter version of the tails but even so, having your legs bound together like that and a heavy tail at the end it is hard!
Anyway, I am done being a mermaid for a day. Thanks Manila Ocean Park for the experience. Unless I am paid to do this again, and my belly is less fatty as it is in here, I will do it again. But for now I am done. Crossing this one out on the bucket list, hooray!

Wow! Exciting! Wish we also have it here in our place. I just recently learn the mermaid swim and it was fun. I just haven’t tried swimming with that tail on though.
