Burt’s Bees Natural Face Essentials Soap Deep Cleansing Cream (Bark & Chamomile) Review

I just woke up and haven’t really washed my face and my mom out-of-the-blue just said “Your skin looks amazing, what foundation are you using?”
I said “Huh? What foundation? I’m not wearing makeup? I just woke up”
“You’re not? How come your face look so smooth and fresh you look like you’re wearing foundation,” she elaborated.
“Must be the facial wash I used last night,” I said out loud.

Last night was my first time to use the Burt’s Bees Natural Face Essentials Soap Deep Cleansing Cream and I was surprised how different it felt on my face. Different in a way because most facial wash I tried don’t have that super cooling sensation just like I rubbed menthol all over my face.

Of course it pays to read the product before using it. I failed in that part because I was excited to use it right away not knowing that the Burt’s Bes Natural Face Essentials Soap Deep Cleansing Cream in Bark & Chamomile has a hint of Menthol on it. The combination of Chamomile Aloe to gently soften skin and the hint of Menthol known for its cooling and soothing properties result in skin that looks naturally healthy and fresh. It boast of being able to cleanse, remove dirt excess oil and makeup. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Avoid eye area when using it!

To use the cleanser just apply it with fingers or wet washcloth and massage gentry. I just used my fingers here. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

What I think of it?

• Like I mentioned above the cooling effect surprised me a bit, it was a different sensation I ever got from a facial wash ever. Although I have tried some facial wash with hint of peppermint and chamomile nothing ever compares to the strong menthol sensation this one gives the face. It is different and surprising but it feels really good and relaxing at the same time.
• It doesn’t sud as much as other cleanser, maybe because it is cream.
• A small amount (half inch of the cream) is enough to cover the entire face and massage it all over for a couple minutes then rinse off.
• Surprising as well is the mild scent, most menthol or chamomile products have strong menthol or kinda mint scent but this one the scent is so mild you can’t tell at all.

Do I recommend Burt’s Bees Natural Face Essentials Soap Deep Cleansing?
Absolutely. Those who wear makeup may find this one convenient to use as it can remove makeup as well (except waterproof makeup and eye makeup since you should avoid eyes when using this or else!) because it is in cream form. Those who are kinda stressed from their daily grind will love to wash their face with this as it soothes and relaxing because of the cooling sensation of the menthol!
