FOTD: Pop Art Makeup Look for Halloween 2014

I was trying to find easy to do Halloween Costumes that I can do using  the things I already have in my closet when I stumbled upon some makeup ideas for Halloween. There were a lot of beautiful makeup looks that standout, some creepy and spooky, others are sexy and pretty.  However, most of the looks I wanted needed the kabuki white  foundation that I don’t have so I moved along and find something else. Then I saw an amazing look that is so vintage looking and timeless, Pop Art Makeup Look!

What I used for the look:

Tons and tons of black eyeliner and mascara (Revlon, Make Up Facorty, Make Up Forever, Eye of Horus). Red lipstick (MAC). HD transluscent powder (Make Up Forever). Bb Cream (Etude House) and Eyeshadow (Shu Uemura).Tons and tons of black eyeliner and mascara (Revlon, Make Up Facorty, Make Up Forever, Eye of Horus). Red lipstick (MAC). 9 Steps on How to do the Pop Up Makeup Look:

  1. Make sure to have a clean canvass (your face) Apply BB cream (or foundation) and powder and let it set for a few.
  2. Define your eyebrows with black eyeliner (I used the Eye of Horus black eyeliner here, but if you have tons of black gel liner use it all throughout the steps).
  3. Draw a line tracing the center of your nose using black eyeliner.
  4. Define the sides of your nose and curves of your nosetrills with the black eyeliner.
  5. Draw your jawline, hairline,  ears and cheekbone contour line with the black eyeliner.
  6. Apply purple eyeshadow all over your eyelids but not over the browbone.
  7. Define your eyes. Draw your entire eyes with the black eyeliner. Start from the eyelash line, draw a wing tip and draw up to your eye creases. Line your lower lash line with eyeliner as well and draw four strands of fake lashes. If you have falsies put them on, if you don’t put on a lot of mascara ( volumizing and lenghtening).
  8. Draw your lips with the black liner and clef chin.
  9. Apply lipstick and create an illusion that it is drawn by adding white eyeliner on the sides.

To make it more cartoonish/ Pop Art like, I added red dots!

This is just a practice makeup anyway, next time I’ll make the lines and dots cleaner and well defined! But I think the no dots looked better!FOTD: Pop Art Makeup Look
