How Many and What Kind of Makeup Brushes Do You Really Need to Use?

So, right after I posted on my Instagram about the makeup brushes I need to clean/wash (coz I am running out of brushes to use), I got a handful of PMs asking if I really use that much makeup brushes and if so how many makeup brush and what kind if makeup brushes does one really need to use?

In spite of the number of makeup brushes I own and the number of makeup seminars and workshops I have attended.  I still have a lot to learn and don’t know about makeup and makeup brushes.

This Charm Travel Pro Makeup Set would be my nth set of makeup brushes. While I know most of them I still am not sure if I am using them brushes the right way.   Plus the fact that each time I get a new set it takes me forever before I use them. Coz I take my time in admiring my beautiful new brushes, the soft and clean bristles that I don’t want to ruin (until I ran out of clean brushes hehe!)

While I am at a phase in my life that I no longer wish to wear too much makeup, I am so liberated and confident with my improved face (thanks YSA!) I still wear makeup when the ocassion calls for it (especially when I don’t want to ve referred to as “Nene”)

I know it looks a lot and sounds complicated but once you used them for the purpose that they were made for, you won’t do your makeup any other way (unless in a hurry!) And all these tools will help you achieve beautiful looks!

If all those brushes are confusing you, I personally just use five type of brushes.

I don’t use an eyeliner brush coz I use a liquid eyeliner, I also don’t use a lip brush coz I apply from the tube directly.
