This week has been really challenging for me and my family (my sister, me and daughter) as my mom just suffered a stroke and is confined at the hospital. She has lost her communications skills because of her stroke as her neurologist said the left side of her brain was the one badly hit by it.
Honestly, I have less appetite this week and probably if not for the menu plan I signed up for at Delicious Diet (DD) which covers 5 days from March 16-20, 2015, I may not be eating right or may not be eating at all the whole time.
What is Delicious Diet?
It is a Healthy Weekly Diet Delivery Service with the meals guaranteed to give you the 1,200 calories per day you need. DD is Php1,800.00 for 5 days and they have Free Delivery Within Metro Manila.
Delicious Diet menu is designed to be tasty, fun and having a wide variety so that people won’t get tired on dieting.
“We want our clients to be exposed to a wider variety of food that they didn’t know before. To make sure they lose weight. To make sure it helps them lose weight, we count the calories to no exceed 1,200 calories a day and only use healthy ingredients as much as possible,” according to the DD team.
This is what I was expecting to get for my first 5 days taking DD:
- Delivery time is prompt, they come in before 6pm at my doorstep everyday.
- I have talked with the Delicious Diet team a few days before my diet plan started. Our first talk was about the delivery time. I did not ask for any specific diet preference, they did not ask me of any allergy I have, what we only agreed upon is that they will be sending me a 5 day (1 week) meal that will be sent at my place the night before the start of each day. Say like the food to be consumed on Monday will be delivered Sunday night.
- Packaging is the meals are placed in microwavable plastic container with labels on when the food is taken (lunch, breakfast or dinner) and are good wrapped in brown paper bag and a biodegradable plastic bag. Sometimes they come with plastic spoons and napkins but most of the time not.
- The meals are surprisingly tasty and delicious and is actually filling unlike other diet plans that does not make you feel that fullness you want to feel after every meal.
- If you have specific diet or nutritional needs you can tell the DD team about before starting your meal plan. Say you are a vegetarian or full vegan, or you are lactose intolerant or allergic of seafood and such. They are able to make a meal suited for you. I just don’t know about the pricing if it is specific as that. However they do have their nutritionist and a chef to cook up a tasty, fun meal for you to have a healthy diet.
- They did not give me specific instructions on the first meal I got as to what to do after getting it , so I just assumed I should put it in the fridge and microwave it when it is time to eat.
Do I recommend it?
Absolutely. This is so convenient for those who don’t have the time to cook up a healthy meal or do the calorie count themselves. You can simple ask them to do it for you. I was fortunate to have the DD meal plan started last week as I was able to eat healthy and right even if I stay in the hospital most of the time and too exhausted to cook or even plan my meal. More than weight loss I was able to eat right. That was the best part.

Thank for sharing your diet plan. It’s so wonderful. I will try it next week. Thank you
It looks great! I have tried Lunchbox Diet before and I think they are quite similar except that Lunchbox Diet delivers on the same day. I will consider this if I should go on a diet soon. I hope your mom gets better soon.
