You’re Sexy When You Know This

We are all adults here so I won’t beat around the bush. Most of you who read my blog are either married, in a relationship or singles who mingles and we know what happens when we are in an intimate relationship, we do.

While you may be loyal to your partner, we don’t know about your partner. Seriously, who knows. And because of that we don’t know if the other one is HIV free.

Did you know that everyday, there are 22 people reported to have HIV in the Philippines? Yes, that is everyday and the statistics goes higher and higher everyday.

This is sad as anywhere else in the world the number has plateud but here in the Philippines the rate gets higher and higher!

Why? Because of the stigma.

The stigma that when one gets tested he/she is already promiscuous.

One will be proud to admit that he/she is active sexually but when you ask them to have an HIV test they either get insulted or are ashamed to go have it.

Because knowledge is power.

Once you know it you know how to keep protecting your self, your partner and everyone else and not spread the virus.

Last Friday night I went to BED, BED Bar in Greenfields District in Mandaluyong for the launch of the Bernardo Buddies. The Bernardo Buddies, although they all look buff, are not gym buddies, but they do the same go to the clinic with you to be your buddy when you want to go tested.
