Bazaars are such a money hole. When you get in one, you’ll get suck in and you won’t be able to get out without a shopping bag or more in hand. If you leave home with a lot of cash in your pocket surely you will leave cashless unless you go cashless and carry along a Globe Charge GCash Mastercard.
Last week, I went to the SUPERB Fashion Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent to shop for off-the-racks fashion items to include on my wardrobe bringing no cash along but my GCash Mastercard. I wanna road test this card and see how far it will take me to this shopping haven.
I spotted a lot of items I wanted to buy but some of the stall owners don’t accept GCash or don’t have a GCash terminal.
Disappointed, because I can’t buy what I want (I didn’t bring in cash). I went to the registration area where a GCash booth was and ask how I can enjoy cashless shopping using my Globe GCash Mastercard if most of the stalls don’t accept it.
Then I was told, I can just bring the merchandiser / stall owner/ staff to the registration area as they have the GCash “terminal” and they will be the ones to pay the merchandiser.
The GCash/ Globe Charge terminal is not a biggie really. In fact it is so portable and convenient. All you need is a smartphone with the GCash app and this tiny apparatus that you can plug-in your device to start a GCash Mastercard transaction.
Just a swipe, insert pin code, wait for the acceptance, and Viola! Transaction done!
