No amount of rain can stop travel enthusiast bloggers to attend the Philippine Airlines #TravelPAL Quiz Night held at the Vyne BGC recently. It was a mix of fashion, travel, beauty and lifestyle bloggers who were all looking forward to travel with PAL soon.
The quiz nigh was all about PAL’s flight destinations , local and international and the team who wins the game gets a free air tickets round trip to Tablas (Romblon), one of the new local flight destination of PAL. While one lucky winner gets to win a round trip ticket to Auckland (New Zealand). Table 2 won the game but the winner of the big ticket prize is from Table 7 our table of beauty bloggers who forget their poise for the night to win (yes we are a competitive bunch!) Haha!
A consolation for the beauty bloggers I was with was when Bamboo came to perform, it was a nice treat for them as they are a fan , plus his song 214 bring back childhood memories, according to one of my beauty blogger friends in the table haha!
Anyway, the event was a huge success. Soon our friend Phoebe Ann Ramos (happily taking a photo opp with P AL President and Chief Operating Officer Jaime J. Bautistaving with her flight certificates!) will be flying to Auckland as the country’s flag carrier, will launch flights from Manila to new destinations: Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) this October 2015 and Auckland (New Zealand) via Cairns (Australia) on December 2015 – as part of the expansion of its international network.
At the moment there is 30 domestic and 38 other international destinations offered by PAL. Earlier this year, prior to launching flights to these destinations, PAL has also launched its services to New York (USA), Quangzhou (China), Tablas (Romblon) and opened new interisland flights in Visayas and Mindanao. PAL also reintroduced its Business class service to Cebu and Davao.
PAL has also launched the MyPAL App, powered by PayMaya Business and MasterCard, to make flying with PAL much easier for its customers. Now, users can enjoy the convenience of booking their flights, checking-in online, and viewing their flight status using their Android smartphones.
Meanwhile SpongeBob SquarePants is on board PAL to banner its Junior Jetsetter kits this year.
The wholesome yellow sea sponge and his band of quirky friends from the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom bring their whimsical brand of humor to delight kids onboard PAL long-haul flights via the Junior Jetsetter activity kits. The kits are provided to children from 2 to 11 years old to keep them engaged and entertained on lengthy flights of at least eight hours.
These include PAL services between Manila and North America (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto); Oceania (Honolulu); Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane); the Middle East (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Dammam); and Europe (London).
The kits come in two variants, and both contain a set of basic items – activity book, crayons, collapsible water bottle, and dental set of tooth brush and tooth paste – all packed in a colorful, easy-to-carry bag.
PAL has been the country’s only full-service legacy carrier over the last seven decades. It is best known for its distinct brand of inflight service, marked by Filipino warmth, care and hospitality. Now on its 74th year, the flag carrier is focused on fleet modernization, route network expansion and service.
Happy flying!
Stay gorgeous everyone!
