GrabTaxi Now In Baguio + The New Face of Grab

While Baguio City is known to be one of the city in the Philippines to have the most honest and trustworthy taxi drivers, the need to update and improve the taxi hailing system to match the passengers and drivers is badly needed.

This was found after an online survey Grab Taxi did at their Facebook page when they asked where is the next city in the country Grab Taxi should be made available. In the same survey, they also found out that it is very hard for passengers get a cab and drivers get passengers when it is raining outside.

Because of that, Grab Taxi went on a soft launch last July 2015 to test the waters and was formally launched this August 2015 at the Baguio Craft Brewery where local media, Baguio and Manila bloggers and some of the pioneer Grab Taxi drivers gathered.

Baguio is the 6th city in the Philippines that GrabTaxi operates in. The app first launched in Manila in 2012 followed by Cebu, Davao City, Iloilo, Bacolod and now Baguio.

As a starting promo, GrabTaxi in Baguio passengers can use the promocode Baguio to get free booking fee and Php50.00 off their fare for the entire month of August!

Meanwhile, aside from the launch, we were able to meet the new Country Marketing Manager Head / new face of Grab Taxi Khriztina Lim.

 

We also paid a courtesy call to Baguio City Mayor Domogan who was ecstatic for the arrival of Grab Taxi in Baguio City.
