I am the type of person who will try everything once as long as it doesn’t kill me, I will do it. I’m that kind of dare devil. I always like to challenge myself to my limit. This weekend, we were whisk away to an adventure boot camp in Cavite, Kampo Trexo, to try out different extreme travel adventure activities. The activities include climbing a wall more than 20 feet high, then rapelling back down, completing a 10 challenges obstacle course, crossing a cliff via zip line, and finishing some aerial suspension challenges just to name a few.

We were divided into four teams: Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. I was with the Red Team with Marj, Jonas, Enzo and Florencio. While having our breakfast we were given our Survival Kit at the camp. The kit includes, a bottle of water, banana, candies, a fit bar, towel , sunblock and mosquitto repellant lotion and what do you know… a MediCash Dengue Insurance !

After the cheer we head straight to the first challenge, the wall of fate where we did the rapelling and wall climbing. It was one of the most difficult task for everyone to finish imagine to climb and fall down from a 20 feet high wall! It was such an funny predicament to be in since we were all insured, there’s nothing to fear but our personal limitations to conquer!
Coach Nonoy won the Leadership Award because of this one he was coaching his team mates like a real Team Captain would do, the funniest quote for this challenge was “Climb like a frog!” to which a funny reply came from Ruth DC “What is like a frog?!!!” where she sealed the deal to win the Beauty Queen Award of the day!
Then we went to the bonfire grounds where a 10 relay obstacle course was waiting for us. Each team only had 10 minutes to finish the tasks. You need the skill of a monkey and speed of a panther to do this lol.
We had to take a break after the relay as it started to drizzle a bit. Which was a good timing because it was time for lunch! We had our lunch military style! Boodle Fight!
When we were done with our lunch we went back to finish the obstacle course that was followed by the Trekking Challenge or what we like to call the Photo Walk, where we strike a pose on a Hanging Bridge and find our team flag.

The Trekking ended at the Aerial Suspension Walk Challenge grounds where all team MVPs was assigned to finish the challenge– with tsunami, earthquake and all those sort of obstacles suspended up in the air and we had 10 minutes each. I represented the red team and girl power at the same time as I was the only female MVP for this challenge!
Personally, I am glad to have taken this trip. I always wanted to do these kind of extreme adventure challenges but because of restrictions in insurance coverages, I sometimes back-out because of that. But now that I am insured from head-to-foot, I don’t give a damn and just did what I wanted to do, be the fit dare devil, I wanted to be at my age.

Everyone was required to take the Zipline back to camp where the awarding ceremony was held. Team Blue was the overall champion, where they won a Cherry Mobile Flare each . There were surprise awards like Iiyak na yan award for John Bueno, and to my surprise I was voted the Bloggers Choice for Best Travel Buddy of the day!
