On September 27, 2009 the world’s attention will be on Singapore as the F1 night race will be held there for the second time. It’s the time for their tourism industry to boom again and like my Filipina blogger friend Jade from Singapore said the place will be a polluted mess again.
I know some of my blogger friends will be there to watch the Formula One race and the concerts and party during the weekend. It sounds absolutely fun. I was told there will be a meet and greet with the F1 drivers too. OMG! meet Fernando Alonzo, Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello among others . I wish I could be there I’ve been dying to watch a race in Singapore since last year, their first time there. But I got the international media accreditation form too late so better luck next year for me. Hehe. I wish there is an 2009 F1 Singapore Night Race Livestreaming available so I can still watch everything.
Anyway, since the country will be full of people and events. I’m sure all the restaurants, hotels, and other places of interest will be full. Actually since December last year the best places to stay have been booked and as of last month all the race night tickets are sold out.
I’m sure the Singapore Tourism Board will do their best to be able to cater to the number of visitors in their country and have prepared all possible measures not to disappoint the tourist. But just in case for any reason, happy experience or not there is a place for you to rant about your Singapore Customer Service… Share Your Story with them.
The Are You Being Served is site aimed to rank the best and the worst Singapore has to offer. They have this service squad who goes around the place and do something to see how far good customer service of a certain establishment will go. They go to shopping malls, restaurants, fast food chains, even call the customer service hotlines just to see how good the service really is. You can take a look at the site and see what they have done in the past. Who knows your story could be featured there in the future.
