Digital Nomads, I’m one of them. ” We are the people who leverage technology to work wherever we want to be — be it from home, your favorite coffee shop, on the beach, or even from the other side of the planet!
Digital Nomads or location-independent professionals use the Internet, their laptops, smart phones, resourcefulness and a number for handy wed and mobile applications to earn income wherever we are. Digital nomads frequently work as freelance writers, photographers, affiliate marketers, web designers, software developers, graphic designers, and sometimes we simply pick up odd jobs as they go.” *
What is a day like in the life of a Digital Nomad?
Waking time is not regular because we either work late and sleep late or vice versa. If we has deadline/s we has to make it, be it a weekend or a Holiday or even if she is on a vacation. If there are last minute changes or something needs to be done immediately it has to be done whenever, wherever we are.
At home, waking up, first thing we do is check their emails and social media accounts to see what’s going on and if we missed something from client accounts they handle. Then go on our domesticated life like household chores with still having our smartphones connected to our WiFi . When all chores are done we could be doing anything from drafting a post, editing videos or photos, replying to emails and so on. Until it’s time for lunch and dinner where cooking and feeding the kids happens. (if we are a parent).
In my experience, when on the road, going to an event, I bring with me powerbanks and USB cables with dual purpose, especially if I’m out for a whole day affair. My smartphone is virtually my office and I can’t be without it. It’s my camera, communication device, video editing machine, social media managing device and everything else.
When I travel, I pack more gadgets and accessories. . I carry with me my fones, a point-and-shoot digital camera, my selfie stick, Mono Pod with tripod, 4 powerbank, Sim card holder, USB cords, chargers, and waterproof bag for my gadgets individually and collectively so there’s two kinds. If it’s a longer trip, I bring my laptop, charger and multi-socket adaptors a head set and a speaker. (About 22 different gadgets and accessories).
