What Happened at the First Roxy Fitness Event in the Philippines #RoxyFitness
I was itching to get my dose of Vitamin Sea and I am glad Roxy Philippines invited me to join the first ever Roxy Fitness #RoxyFitnessph event in the country. Call time was no sleep time for all articipants but so what! we are heading to kick-off our first summer of 2017 adventure!
#RoxyFitness happened in other countries like Spain, France, Taiwan, Japan and many other countries where women who wish to have a fun time while stepping up their fitness routine are invited to join. Slots are limited and most participants pay a fee to join. In the Philippines registration fee is Php3,500.00 it includes all the race kit, food, transportation and gift voucher to get their fave Roxy pieces.
At the first #RoxyFitnessPh we had a beach run, stand up paddleboard, and yoga by the beach with other Roxy girls.
Personally, it was my first fun run and now I understand why they do fun runs in thr crack of dawn. It is more relaxing, it is not to hot/warm and it helps get your energy high all throughout the day. Plus we had Hammer Energy Gel that gave us the boost of energy we needed fir the activities of the day.
I think we did the basic/beginners 3Km beach run. But I must say ans I will admit , running isn’t really for me. I can do fast walk but not running. We also had e challenges after finishing a kilometer, like burpees, and jumping jacks and half burpees it was fun coz I was with girlfriends. I dunno if I will enjoy this if I do this by myself though. But I finished it and it was all good.
After our beach run, we did yoga underneath a gigantic mango tree while the sun rises some more. Very apt as we did our sun salutations. For an hour we baked under the morning sun! So yeah I got some slight tan for that!
Next was an activity I was half excited and scared to try out – stand up paddleboarding! See, I am scared of open water and I am not a good open-water swimmer. I was scared that I might fall off the board and panick and drown. But the Roxy staff and Pico de Loro staff were so nice to help build ky cobfidence that I was able to stand up onnthe paddleboard and a couple of paddling. They even took great shots of me which never showed how crazy scared I was and how loud I was vocalizing my fears of falling into the water. It was a good day at Pico de Loro though, water was calm it was a perfect day to do paddleboarding!
After all the activity we had free time to do whatever we wanted. Thr girls did their #OOTD. I felt so invigirsted having a dose of Vitamin Sea, that I played with my #SmartSelfie and chased a lifeguard .
There was a pop-up store of Beach Hut, hammer, Beach Hut and Roxy at the venue. OMG I feel bad for not getting a lot I only got q few, swimsuit and yoga tops and bottoms were sold for as low as Php500 and highest is only Php1,500!
Here’s what I got:
Roxy is available at all Roxy store , The Grind and R.O.X.
