Aging comes with challenges, and they can be unpredictable. Just like with any stage of our lives, like being a teenager, this stage of a woman’s life is a scary part and it scares the hell out of us. I may not be at my golden years yet, but watching the Book Club has validated all my fears, in the most hilarious ways.
The Book Club movie is about four women in their golden years. It stars Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen as best friends and members of a Book Club one of the books they tackled and inspired them to live their life a bit more daring and differently is no less than the best selling book Fifty Shades of Grey.
Does being sexy, falling in love or being adventurous on your sex life stop when you turn golden? Should you lock the door and throw it away or embrace this new life with a sense of freedom and fun?
Should you care about what your friends, family, relatives or co-workers has to say because you want to live a life with less inhibition, even at 60+.
I enjoyed every bit of the movie . The actors and actresses , especially the actresses, did not fall short on highlighting each of their concerns overactingly and the way they delivered it is very effective. It tackled issues in a straight forward but funny manner.
To us young ones it may look like an exaggeration but I believe most of it are tr ue especially when you are a dual citizenship holder (senior citizen and wjatever country you are a citizen of) . Life seems. Faster, everything looks scarier, you get concerned about every small little things, you are scared of trying new things because of your age.
This movie is one of those chick flicks you should watch, not just with your mom, or sister or tita, but also with your husband, boyfriends or male friends so they could also understand women and what goes in the mimds when they turn golden.
It is like Sex amd the City but the setting is that they’re in their 60s.
