Awesome Things to do in Clark Pampanga

We went for a weekday visit in Clark Pampanga without any clear itinerary.  Our purpose of visit was for a Reddoorz Premium property for two days. Of course you don’t expect us to just sit in our hotel room and do nothing. We had to explore the surrounding area mostly on a 3km-5km radius to and from our hotel.

But first, how to get to Clark?

It’s so easy, take P2P bus.  If coming from the Manila airports there is Genesis Bus from Naia Terminal Airport 1,2 &3 that will take you directly to Clark Airport or SM Clark.  We took the bus from Trinoma Mall it’s just along EDSA infront of Landmark. Fare is Php280 from Trinoma to Clark.

How to go around Clark?

Fortunately there is Grab in Clark Pampanga.  We noticed a standard minimum rate of Php120 each trip within 5kms distance from or to where you are going and coming from.  There are peak hours or rush hour rates too but the rates never go above Php200.

You can also take a trike or tricycle but their rate is almost the same as a Grab car even a bit over from Php150 above especially if you are with a foreigner or look like a foreigner.  So I will just take a car anytime.

Where to go in Clark Pampanga?

  • SM City Clark

SM City Clark was the most convenient place to visit. A standard SM mall that got it all for you, from food to shopping to movies.  Yes they all have your favorite brands. We had to go for a quick shirt shopping at H&M.

Also SM City Clark is a drop-off and pick-up point for all the P2P buses coming and going to Clark.

  • El Kabayo

If you are fascinated about horses , or just want to ride one, El Kabayo is a place to be.  Horses are full size and they will roam.you around the property. You will have a horseman to assist you with your horse.

Marcus rode Star and I rode with Megan, my female 13 year old horse who is sensitive to flies!  She would freak out when a fly comes near her it was good that Jeff, my horseman guide was very nice to Megan he treat her like a friend and he is so sweet and calm with her.  The horses at El Kabayo looked very well taken care of. All are healthy and well groomed. The place is very clean and not stinky. It looked like an wild wild west ranch with real establishments in it.

An hour ride with a horse and a guide is Php300. They also accept prenuptial wedding photos and pictorials in El Kabayo.   They also do night horse back riding and glamping !

El Kabayo is located at Gil Puyat Avenue corner Panday Pira, Zone, Clark Freeport, Angeles, Pampanga.

A Grab car can take you there. Internet signal is pretty bad in the area so you may have to ask the receptionist to help you book a ride back to your hotel or wherever you need to go next.  Their staff is very helpful and friendly!

  • Zoocobia

Is a family-friendly animal park that allows you to do bird handling & feeding, animal shows & pony rides, animal feeding and fun gravity rides. Admission is Php300.

Visit zoocobia website for more information of other activities you can do in there, there are water slides, night owl viewing , skin and bones museum all for good and educational fun trip. Zoocobia/

  • Clark Museum and 4D Theater

If you want to know the history of Clark and Pampanga, this is an interesting place to be.  We were not able to visit the museum though because of the big rain that happened every afternoon when we were there!

  • The Walking Street

It’s a little known secret a place to enjoy and get adult fun.  It’s a whole stretch of night clubs and girly bars. Police visibility is around the area.  I had been to Bangla Road in Phuket Thailand and this one was very very tame. We went so I can see the comparison and it was timid.

Where to Eat?

Yami Bulgogi Korean BBQ Restaurant !

If you are craving for a yummy steak and meat Korean BBQ grill then this is where you want to be .  Marcus and I had the unli side dish Set A couple set meal and we are so full. Everything was delicious from the meats to the sides! We also had a Banana Splt and it was Yami to share with.

Where to Stay in Clark Pampanga?

Of course we stayed at Reddoorzs Premium @ Plaridel Mabalacat.  It is a bit far from the action places but it was good that it was quiet and calm with big rooms and big bathroom.  There’s a swimming pool and we were impressed by the no elevator. It was good to be able to stride along with your luggage not getting trapped in an elevator haha!

Receptionist are nice.  Water and towels and toiletries are provided. With big TV we hardly use coz we are always out. We were just in the hotel to rest and sleep .

There are three Reddooorz properties in Clark Pampangga, you may find one that fits your budget and needs at Reddoorzs.com

From SM City Clark you can take a tricycle or a Grabcar. I suggest take a Grab coz the fare is Php120 minimum for Grabcar while tricycles charge Php150 especially when you are a foreigner they charge even higher.

There are more things to do in Clark Pampanga unfortunately we have very limited time. Hopefully soon we will be back and explore some more with the Pampanga tourism next time!

I hope this post helps you if ever visiting the place and do let me know at the comment section below of your experience!
