4 Reasons to Switch Now to an Induction Cooker

Induction Cooker

If you haven’t switched to an induction cooker yet,  let me convince you some more to make the switch.

Gasoline prices are expected to soar especially now with the Russia and Ukraine conflict. Just recently, the news showed that LPG is now over Php1,000 each tank and mostly this is used for one month’s consumption more or less.

Honestly, I have never used LPG myself, I would use an electric stove back when induction cookers was not a thing yet.  This is because I live in closed spaces and places like condos where LPG is a dangerous thing for me because I wouldn’t know how to change tanks and deal with leaks and whatnots. The gas leak is mostly my fear in enclosed spaces it can easily spread and spark a fire if not attended to right away.

So why an induction cooker:

  1.  The heat from the induction cooker is focused on the pan only not anywhere else.  No flame, no gas, and no leaks.  It actually is like a magnet that it only heats up when two compatible metals are connected.  With that said you need induction-ready pans (mostly crockpots will work, cast iron pans, aluminum won’t work).
  2. Because heat is evenly distributed cooking is faster.
  3. Contrary to popular belief, using an induction cooker is less expensive than LPG or electric stoves. You can set temperature, cook time, and when it reaches the temperature you are after is maintains that level and doesn’t exceed a higher temperature.
  4. There is less chance for you to caught fire or have a fire incident at home because there are no gas leaks and all.

Bonus:  Induction cooktops have a smooth surface that’s easy to wipe clean.

There are a lot of inexpensive induction cookers in the market.  There are ones sold for less than Php1,500 most of them have a free induction cooker compatible pan.
