After the 9am mass on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Manila Cathedral the late President Cory Aquino’s remains remains will be brought from the Manila Cathedral to the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.
Here is the map to give you a quick view of the route of the burial rites/ funeral processions.
About 140 civilian volunteers and 600 policemen will be deployed for the procession.
Burial route: From the Manila Cathedral, the procession will move to Anda Circle, then to Roxas Boulevard. It will turn left at Quirino Avenue and proceed to Osmeña highway. It will traverse the South Luzon Expressway and will take the Sucat Exit, then it will proceed to the Manila Memorial Park.
How to get to Manila Memorial Park?
If you want to go to Manila Memorial Park I suggest you take an MRT to Magallanes station and take a bus to Paranaque then alight to the Sucat Exit from there you can walk to the Manila Memorial Park because the traffic will be closed and an alternate route for vehicles passing the memorial park is in place.
