How To Apply For A Calamity Loan

As soon as the government declared that an area is on State of Calamity everyone living in that area can now avail of a calamity loan from a government financial agency like GSIS, SSS, and Pag-IBIG. All these agency have calamity fund ready for disposal so that their member can start anew especially for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy where all properties were wiped out.

You can file your application for a calamity loan from GSIS (Government Security and Insurance Services) from Oct 1- 31, 2009 GSIS.  Basic qualification should be an active member of GSIS, active in service for 3 years.  Just present your GSIS e-card and your loan will be processed within hours. Pag-IBIG fund is now accepting applications for a calamity loan and they will continue accepting applications 30 days from September 27, 2009.  Basic requirements to avail of the loan should be an active member of Pag-Ibig and at least have made 24 monthly contributions.  If you have an outstanding salary loan or calamity loan, the balance will be deducted .  You can call them at  7244244/ 8114918 for more information. SSS (Social Security System) opens their door for calamity loan application from September 27, 2009 upto December 27, 2009, the announcement was made this morning at GMA 7 morning show Unang Hirit. You may call 920-6401, 920-6446 for more information.  Requirements would be the same as those applying for a salary loan. You should at least made 24 months contribution and is an active member for 12 months.
