Light Up Alphabet Log Review

If you want a toy for your kids that is lasting and educational, I suggest you get them the Light-up Alphabet Log from Vtech. This is about P2,000 and if you buy it at Kids Depot Trading in Gateway Cubao you will get a lifetime warranty for it.  This toy helps improve a childs language skills, verbal and written,  by helping her recognize letters, words, sounds and pictures and even improve her memory, listening skills and waiting skill.  You will need 3 double A batteries to make it work.  I suggest you get a rechargable battery for this so you don’t have to buy disposable ones all the time.

The cute Winnie the Pooh design and colors is attractive to kids so it will immediately get their attention.

They will immediately get curious pressing the buttons as they hear Winnie the Pooh’s voice.  There is a small screen on the left that will light-up and will show the letter or the picture of the object associated with that letter.

The keypad has pictures of letters and the object or the Winnie the Pooh character that begins with the said letter.

The  Learn Letters and Sound game will be good for a kid who is just learning her alphabet.  The first time you press the key it will tell you what letter it and the object you can associate the letter with.  The second time you press the same letter it will give the sound of the letter. “A is for apple.” “A says ah”.

The  Can You Find It game is an exploring game where Pooh will ask some question either by asking “What makes this sound?”  or “Which you guess which friend I was thinking of?  It begins with the letter pah?” or “Would you find the letter N?”

The Before and After game is when the child knows what comes before and after a letter Pooh will ask something like “Would you find the letter that comes before C?” if the kid doesn’t press any button it will ask the question again.  If the kid pressed the wrong button it will give another clue “It comes after the letter B.”  If the kid pressed the wrong letter it will give another clue.  “It’s the letter that comes after A and before B”.  Until the child guess the right answer.  It will give the child a time to think so she can process the question which is very good.

The Memory Challenge game will challenge the memory of your child. It will test the memory, listening and waiting time of your child. Pooh will ask the kid to press a certain button.  It will aks one object or word first and the child should wait until the instruction is done before the child should press the button or the child will get an X mark.  Like  First press the bee.  the child should press the bee after the instruction was given.  Pooh will give another instruction  First press the bee and then Eore.  The child should wait for Poo to finish giving the instruction first.  It will also do some spelling of words.

This is a perfect gift for kids from 2 and up, especially the toddlers and a good toy to prepare them for school and even for child with autism as they are very much attracted to pictures, lights and sound.
