Waxing At Lay Bare Waxing Salon

Unwanted hair can be so embarrassing especially if you like to bare skin. There are so many ways you can get rid of them like plucking, shaving, a laser hair removal or waxing.

Plucking will give you chicken textured skin, shaving darkens the area shaved, a laser hair removal is so costly. After my experience at Lay Bare Waxing Salon I believe there’s no better way to do it than waxing and let the professionals do it for you. It’s very affordable, fast, safe, and the you will be delighted with the result.

Lay Bare Waxing Salon offers their services for men and women. They have different but very affordable prices and packages for both gender.   It’s a little painful especially if you are a first timer.  But don’t worry the pain is tolerable.

They use cold wax jelly for the treatment so it’s practically painless unless your a first timer.  It’s made of all-natural ingriedients so it’s friendly to extra-sensitive skin.  It’s sugar-based so it leaves skin smooth and silky.  The best part is it also exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells.

Before treatment you should al least allow your hair to be 1/4 cm long. Hair growth is different for each individual, however, on average, a person should get an undearm waxing every 3 weeks, half leg wax every 3-4 weeks and Brazilian every 6 weeks.  After treatment it is highly recommended that you wait at least 4 hours before you wash the waxed area.

For best results of your treatment here are some Waxing and Threading Tips to keep in mind from Lay Bare:

  1. Avoid the sun immediately after waxing and wear sunscreen.  Recently waxed areas are prone to hyperpigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin) if exposed to the sun and solarium.
  2. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, or whirlpools and other heated soruces for at least 48 hours.
  3. After 24-48 hours, exfoliate the skin with a Loofa sponge, for example, to prevent dead skin from accumulating and avoid growth of ingrown hair.  Pay close attention to the bikini line, upper thighs, underarms and calves.

  4. IMPORTANT: Don’t attempt waxing 3 days prior to or during the first 3 days of your menstrual cycle. Your skin is more sensitive at that time and waxing then can magnify the pain.

  1. Cold wax is really better than hot wax. I was also able to try out lay bare but then I tried out this hair removal salon in Don Antonio Heights and I find it better than Lay Bare. The salon’s name is Brazilian Lush body sugaring salon. They use cold Halawa sweet which looks similar to lay bare’s honey wax. But the attendant said halawa sweet doesnt have honey. Sugar and lemon lang daw. Things i noticed was iba ung procedure nila to remove the hair and hanggang butt mo, tatanggalan nila ng hair kung meron. Unlike lay bare na sa harap lang ung tatanggalin. With Lay bare I still see some hairs na na be break, tapos ite-thread nlng nila or tweezer. With brazilian lush, talagang tanggal from the roots yung hair. They did not need to pluck stubbles or ung mga maiksing hair kasi kaya nilang tanggalin kahit di pa 1/4 cm ung hair. The reason why they’re called body sugaring daw is because of the halawa sweet product they use and the procedure on how to remove the hair. Lay bare procedure kasi is the same as waxing procedure but without the strips. Also, with brazilian lush, they clean the skin after the treatment, hindi sticky. Ayun. Na-share ko lang experience ko. 🙂

  2. Thanks for the information sis. It is really the perfect time of the year to get groomed and be the best you can be. I will lay in lay bare when I managed to find the time. The prices seems okay and with your review, I can assess that their services are great. Thanks for recommending them. I have another waxing salon to try out.
