For those who are frequently updated with the latest at Earthlingorgeous, you all know that I just ventured into a new business that hopefully will be sustainable in time. I am selling clothes and have posted about it here and in my other social networking sites and the response was good.
Incidentally, the launch of the SMilDS.com was in-sync with the launch of my new venture and thought of using their e-commerce platform to put up my Online Store with them.

The system is still on Beta Phase and I just started loading my clothes there today after getting my starter kit last Tuesday.
Among the things I like about it was its so easy to set-up. You start by filling up your sellers profile, then you can start designing your web store with the templates readily available for use in the system.
You can upload your own logo and items as much as you are allowed to depending on the package you availed for. They have a starter pack of 50 product uploads where you can upload upto 5 photos of each items for P25,000. Package includes set-up, logistics, and technical requirements to make your online store successful.
Although the site is very user friendly, there are just a couple of things that are not like defining the products weight, width and height because of the packaging requirement in millimeter. How would the heck I’d know that unless I use a converter from another site which is very inconvenient. Same reason I was only able to upload 7 items for starters.
Smilds.com boast of solving the logistic and payment options and security that are not available in other e-commerce system available in the country where one is forced to wait for the 30-day period to be able to cash out.
They said they can speed-up the process in 7days where a buyer and seller will get that 7 day guarantee so that a seller can deliver the merchandise and a buyer is secured that the item is delivered as ordered.
Some would raise their eyebrows about paying P25,000 in setting-up an online store when they can use free platforms like Ebay, Amazon and even Multiply or Facebook. Although Ebay and Amazon have that sellers reputation thing to assure buyers the difference about Smilds.com is that the payment option is tailored to Philippine system where there are other payment options aside from credit card or paypal. One can use G-cash, Smart Money, and ATM/ Debit card as payment for your online purchases they are in partnership with Bancnet.
Well, here’s for the books let’s see how my Earthlingorgeous Online Store fair in there. Maybe you should try buying now and pay with your debit cards so we can see 🙂
