Summer Wedding Gowns By Michi Calica

A simple chic wedding dress or a fun, playful elegant one.   The bride is always the boss when it comes to her wedding gown.   Philippines top wedding gown designer Michi Calica said her customized wedding gowns this summer season is all about romance and femininity.

“I like using diaphanous materials that move well with the bride.  The bride and I collaborate on each customized piece. Most brides nowadays find ways to be more unique and memorable,” Ms. Calica told Earthlingorgeous.

” Recently I am inspired by flowers – since I opened my flower business (Michi Calica Fresh Flowers) three years ago (check out the White Orchid Wedding Dress on the lawyer bride) .”

Wedding gowns made by Michi Calica are always one of a kind, so definitely a bride will feel extra-special wearing them on her big day.  Her customized wedding gowns start at Php 50,000 as it takes  6 months minimum lead time for customized gowns from scratch.  Its a real labor of love.  But if you choose an existing style from her samples it takes about two months.

“My customized wedding gowns start at PhP50,000. Locally, my dresses and cover ups are all customized,” she said.

However, Michi Calica likes to work with with recommended clients only. “I am more comfortable this way.” she added.  She created two summer wedding gowns that were worn last Saturday, April 10, 2010  by her select clients.
