‘The Last Song’ Movie Review

Girly movie alert!

‘The Last Song’ is a true blue girly movie.  Haha!  Its not a bad thing, foremost the movie was based on a novel by Nicolas Sparks so what do you expect?  It had all the elements of a chick flick, romance, drama, the eye-candy boyfriend material every girl in the world would wish to have leading man,  a tear jerker theme and did I say the leading man was hot (Liam a.k.a. Will) ?

Nicolas Sparks created the perfect boyfriend material in the person of Will Blakelee aka Liam Hemsworth in the novel now movie ‘The Last Song’

Seriously, the movie made me cry because of the theme.  Its about love, family and relationships.    It reminded me so much of my father during his last days with us, one of the main reason it made me cry.

You can actually bring your kids to watch the movie because its rated PG just because of mild language and mild sensuality.  It will teach them the realities that there is no such thing as a perfect family and that they should learn to love what they have.

Quotable quotes would  be: “Love is fragile” and “People make mistakes, even the ones we love.” “Sometimes you have to be apart from people you love but that doesn’t mean you love them any less, sometimes it even makes you love them more.”

The Last Song is a romance, drama movie that will be shown in Philippine theaters on May 12, 2010. Here’s more information about The Last Song which stars Miley Cyrus as Ronnie Miller, Liam Hemsworth as Will Blakelee and Greg Kinear as Steve Miller.

I think the actors did justice to their roles, especially to the kid who played the brother of Miley in the movie, Bobby Coleman as Jonah Miller.
