Gorgeous Finds: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Long Wear Lip Duo Compact

December is usually not just about Christmas but of weddings. Most of the makeup artist and fashion designer  I know who are experts on weddings are mostly fully booked this month.

When I tried on the L’Oreal Infallible Long Wear Lip Duo Compact what came to mind immediately are brides and bridesmaids and wedding makeup artist who are looking for a long wear lipstick that is  won’t easily smudge, transfer , doesn’t feather and doesn’t need constant retouching.

Infallible Long Wear Lip Duo Compact is the first long wear lip duo compact from L’Oreal Paris that can lasts up to 16 hours in a handy and unique mirrored compact case and comes in 3 shades (in the Philippines) Blush Obsession, Rose Tattoo and Red) .

How to use:
Click side 1 and apply the non-transferable color to clean lips. Allow the color to dry for 1 minute without rubbing, drinking, or eating.
After a minute click side 2 and apply the conditioning balm to give comfort and shine on your lip colour. You can re-apply the balm as often as you need or like.

Tips:

• The non-transferable lip colour can feel very dry and drying (ergo the conditioning balm) on the lips so make sure before applying the color your lips is free from chapping and is well moisturized. I suggest you clean lips using your toothbrush before applying to make sure the color comes smooth and even on lips.
• Don’t apply the conditioning balm first before the color or it will become an ordinary lipstick that smudges off easily.

What I think about it?

• I love its compact container/packaging it makes me reassured that my lip color won’t get messed in my purse or makeup kit.
• I love that the packaging is mirrorized.
• This lipstick is indeed long wearing that can last for hours.  In fact it lasted overnight as I sleep without smudging or transferring on my pillows or my blanket or all over my face.
• Doesn’t feel heavy on the lips.
• Doesn’t have any scent.
• Non-sticky.
• Its waterproof!
• Eating, drinking, and rubbing won’t make the color go away!  You will need a waterproof makeup remover to get rid of the color!
• Like I said this lipstick is perfect for those who are attending special occasion specially for wedding makeup especially for the bride who should always look smashing during the entire wedding event.
• A real long wear lip color that can last up to 16 hours!

I just hope they come up with another tube or refill for the conditioning balm because it will definitely run out first because its the one that will get reapplied more often than the lip color.

Do I recommend the Infallible Long Wear Lip Duo Compact?
I highly recommend this makeup to makeup artist especially those who do bridal makeup. I also recommend this to the bridesmaids and for those who don’t like to retouch their lip color often. Its kinda pricey for daily use but if you want to invest on a semi-permanent color that can last up to 16 hours go ahead and splurge. I think its sold at somewhere around Php875.00-Php900.00 each.

I intentionally did not remove the lipstick before I went to bed to see how long wearing it is . True enough it lasted until 1PM after I came back from my short trip to the mall to pay my CCs, pick up some office supplies and do a little the grocery shopping before I rubbed it off purposely!

I think I will stock up on other shades of this lipstick as I am one of those lazy people who doesn’t like to retouch my makeup often.
