Lady Gaga will never ever run out of ways to get noticed and she’s getting weirder and weirder by the second. I’m glad we don’t watch MTV at home or my daughter will get weird ideas on fashion!
Last night at the 56th Grammy Awards night, Lady Gaga came out or rather camouflaged herself on the red carpet (I’m not even sure if she is there at all) as a latex cocoon that was carried by super models. Her posse, led by model Anne Vyalitsyna, wears latex, platforms, and army boots.
I think she did this to avoid paparazzi’s as she bagged three awards at the 53rd Grammys Best Pop Vocal Album for The Fame Monster, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Short Form Music Video for “Bad Romance. What a winner!
A never heard Esperanza Spalding surprisingly won the Best New Artist award. She is definitely a new artist and they said she’s a good jazz artist, I might just have to hear one or two of her songs before I can say she deserves the award.
Katy Perry, my latest favorite, was wearing angelic Giorgio Armani dress.
Rihanna wore a sheer gown by Jean Paul Gaultier Couture
Willow is now America’s favorite hair-whipper and shows early signs of spotlight-stealing Gaga tendencies with this custom getup. The pouch she wears hanging from a ring has charms of a few of Smith’s favorite things: ice cream, strawberries, and aviators.
Willow Smith was wearing a custom-made Louis Vuitton shoes!
Nicki Minaj was wearing animalier and bubblegum pink lips.
Jennifer Lopez, the newest American Idol judge wore a mirrored mini dress by Emilio Pucci.
Kelly Osbourne was invoking her feminine side, its the first time I see her wear a super cute girly dress! Her lavender frock tied in a delicate bow was made by Tadashi Shoji.
Miley Cyrus looks more matured in her sequined animal-print dress by Roberto Cavalli. I love her accessories!
Ciara was super sexy with her peak-a-boo dress by Emilio Pucci. She’s so gorgeous!
Jennifer Hudson was simple and classy in a luxe Versace dress
Lea Michelle in a plunging neckline and super high slit dress by Emilio Pucci
Keri Hilson in an aqua blue party dress by Basil Soda. I love the hair!
Selma Blair wears her baby bump well with her Lanvil gown
Leann Rimes in a glowing gold sequined dress by Reema Acra
Janel Monae went boyish but the she rocks the look! Her sparkly jacket and flared satin trousers did the job.
I think I should update my playlist as there are artist who won awards at the 53rd Grammy’s that I never heard off yet. Take for example Lady Antebellum who also collected three Grammy Awards ! Record Of The Year for “Need You Now,” Best Country Song and Best Country Album.
Lady Antebellum
Eminem took home trophies for Best Rap Album for Recovery, an album that detailed his struggles with addiction but also reestablished him as a rap force to be reckoned with. I need to get a copy of this too.
I also need to hear that Esperanza Spalding who toppled Justin Beiber for the Best New Artist award mwahaha!
Another never heard that I should also listen to is Arcade Fire, who won the Album Of The Year GRAMMY for The Suburbs.
Among those who won two each were alternative rock band the Black Keys, jazz giant Herbie Hancock, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, urban/alternative group the Roots, Keith Urban, and gospel singer BeBe Winans.
I’m glad there is Grammys because I get to update my playlist and not depend on what’s being played on the radio stations.
Stay gorgeous everyone!
