How many Yellow Filipiniana gowns will we see today? Who and how many celebrity friends of the Aquino Family will be there? How long will the speech be? What truths and lies will we hear again?
These are some of the questions we would like to know about the upcoming State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III at (PNoy) 5PM today!
OK, there were not so much of a yellow terno except those that were worn by the Batasan Choir!
Here’s some of the photos of the popular politicians/celebrities in the wonderful world of Philippine politics who attended the 2011 SONA address of PNoy.

Only Senator Mirriam Defensor-Santiago was missing! Sayang! (photo by Ronnie Calumpita)
OK, here’s what our bag spy spotted!
The Devil Wears Prada!
Congresswoman and ex-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo with her Prada bag and iPad wearing a peach Piña minimalist terno! She came at the House of Representative very early today but said she will not attend PNoy’s SONA because of a threat of a house arrest. Hmmmm (thanks to ANCAlerts for the photos!)
Latest news received after going to Pampangga and back to Manila she was immediately rushed to St. Lukes Hospital in Fort Bonifacio Taguig. No official release about her condition yet.
NOW let the fashion showcase begin!
The Red Carpet at Batasang Pambansa… para lang awards nights noh may red carpet na! mwahahahaha!

Rep. Lani Mercado, Roilo Golez, Teddy Casino and Sen. Bong Revilla. I love Lani Mercado’s terno very classic, Rep. Teddy Casino got another sash on him saying Right To Know, Right Now! in support of the Freedom of Information Bill that wasn’t even touched by the 2011 SONA Address of PNoy.
Sen. Loren Legarda, what can I say she got a nice body so she wanna show it! I love the pendant btw!
My winner of the night was Sen. Pia Cayetano. She was wearing a gray modern Filipiniana/ terno at the Senate before the 2011 SONA address, then changed into a red and grey Filipiniana dress when she arrived at the Batasang Pambansa. Very nice!
I’ve yet to acquire pics of Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and Kris Aquino.
So what do you think of the Batasan Pambansa 2011 SONA address fashion circus? Any favorites?
Stay gorgeous everyone!

I like Lani Mercado gown.. Simple and elegant.
What Pia Cayetano was wearing is indeed a refreshing twist to the Filipiniana. Eye catching? Yes. Refreshing as it was turned out to be a renegade against the overrated designs said to be of the new Filipiniana.
Kris Aquino was indeed in a Cebu fashion designer Cary Santiago terno!! I feel like a proud momma! 🙂 xx
