Mary Kay Primer Foundation Primer Review

I normally don’t use make-up primer when getting dolled up for an event.  I think the moisturizer and the sunblock I use on my face is enough as a base for my “canvass”.  But when I received this from Mary Kay along with the Bella Belara Perfume, I want to give it a try and see what difference does a makeup foundation really do, particularly this Mary Kay Foundation Primer.

Product Info
Is a lightweight gel primer that is made to create the perfect canvass for a flawless foundation application. It contains an optical difuser that helps skin look smoother while extending the wear of make-up.

How to use:
Apply to entire face and blend gently using the fingertips.

You can barely see the difference since its translucent, I like it!

What I think about it:

  • I like that its translucent so you can hardly see if its there or not. For some it may be a con but for me its a good thing because it won’t interfere with the color of the foundation I’m using.
  • I like that its very lightweight so I wasn’t bothered about the feeling of having too much stuff on my face.
  • It did made the liquid foundation (not Mary Kay) easier to apply
  • My makeup looks more polished and my makeup lasted longer!
  • The gel primer is easily absorbed on the skin so its up to you if you want an heavier application or just enough.
  • I didn’t break out after using this product compared to some who said they did.
  • I really love the translucent finish. It also make my foundation look matte but I don’t look dehydrated or aged.

Do I recommend it?
If you are a fan of makeup primers then I recommend this one.  I’d use it again for an all-nighter event because it made my make-up stay longer and I don’t have to go for a retouch except for my lippy.

How about you, have you tried the Mary Kay foundation primer? If not, what is your favorite make-up primer?

Stay gorgeous everyone!

  1. Ang alam yung mga consultant ng Mary KAy, they would allow you to try thwie product first before buying it. kc nga expensive xa compare dun sa iba.. From there, you can decided if its ok for you or not.

  2. I still don’t understand the purpose of makeup primer hahaha! I’ll stick to my face powder hahahaha

  3. @Issa Ohh… I usually apply sunblock first then moisturizer. If I’m so tamad and in a hurry just moisturizer and powder.
