Eyeliner is the hardest makeup to remove. You will need an effective makeup cleanser for it. When I was given to try out Jane Irendale Magic Mitt I was a bit skeptic but still I gave it a try.
Product Info:
Magic Mitt quickly and completely removes makeup using no cleanser. Will even remove mascara. Leaves the skin’s natural acid mantle intact which aids the skin in protecting itself from harmful and invasive bacteria. Magic Mitt is made of specifically knitted micro-fibers many times thinner than human hair. When wet they created a hydro-mechanical process that breaks the surface tension of oils that bond makeup to the skin. This emulsion is then easily swept away by the Mitt. Gently exfoliates while it works.
How to use:
Saturate the Magic Mitt with warm water, wear as a glove and use as you do a wash cloth on your face. Turn mitt when the other side is heavy with makeup. Wash the mitt with warm water and handsoap and make sure all makeup is gone so as not to harbor bacteria and fungi and hang as you do a washcloth. Make sure to dry the mitt completely.
All the makeup from my face is now transferred on the mitt. Lipstick and eyeliner
My face is now fresh and clean!
What I think about it:
- Its amazing that it takes off makeup without leaving any residue.
- Because its like a washcloth it will definitely exfoliate my skin so my skin actually feels soft and renewed.
- Its good that it can be used as many times and it last as a washcloth, the only problem is you need a lot of water and hand soap to rinse it off and remove the makeup on it. So I don’t actually see if its environment friendly in that way.
- I also don’t like the part of washing the cloth, washing it takes more time than removing my makeup with an organic cotton and a makeup cleanser or cleansing oil.
- Its time consuming to use but its effective.

true that!! I’ve been an avid user of JI magic mitt for two years now.. 🙂 and it’s a lot cheaper than makeup removers (creams, oils, toners, etc)…it’s very very pratical! 🙂
