Fashion & Beauty Tips To Enchance Luck This Chinese New Year

There’s nothing wrong in doing things that will enhance your good luck in this world. Here’s some tips I gathered frim Feng Shui experts that will help enhance and bring you good luck for the brand new year. The tip applies whatever Chinese Sign you falls under (Dragon, Snake, Horse, Rabbit, Rat, Rooster, Monkey, Ox, Dog, Pig, Tiger, Sheep)

For those who are born under the compatible:
Do a pomelo rinse from head to toe after bathing. Peel the skin of a pomelo and simmer for a few minutes then use it our final bath rinse ( after cooling it off)

For those born under the incompatible signs:
Do a salt rinse from head to toe after bathing. Add three tablespoon of salt on your final bath rinse.

Make sure to take a bath before 11:00pm of the night before the Chinese New Year (on this year’s case for example bathing is allowed until January 22, 2012 10:59pm ) Don’t take a bath in the Chinese New Year day itself until 10:59pm after that you can bath. If its unavoidable to bath make sure not to wet your head.

Wear new slippers.
Wear new underwear and freshly laundered pajamas when you sleep on night before and day of the Chinese New Year.
Wear new clothes with fire colors (red is top choice, gold and orange is ok too)
Always wear a smile and avoid getting mad or have any arguments with anyone on this day. If someone annoys you let it pass.

FYI: New doesn’t necessarily mean brand new, freshly laundered clothes and underwear is acceptable as well)

Make sure to have angpao (red envelope with luck money) on your pockets to welcome the Chinese New Year.
