Khawla W Roadha, a promising fashion label by young Emirati designers Khawla and Roadha Bin Khedia, debuts its label with the unveiling of Spring/Summer 2013 – Dolls Collection. The brand brings a fresh definition to fashion with its fun, vibrant and colorful style that is an embodiment of its young designers. The Dolls Collection has taken inspiration from every girl’s best friend – Dolls.

Dolls Collection consists of thirty-five dresses that are fun and classy, made from pure Silk Crepe De Chine fabric. The dresses are accentuated with very soft yet sophisticated embroidery; appliqués of vintage dressed dolls on every piece. Khawla W Roadha label is an honest definition of their years of dedication to fashion and its style is an embodiment of stylish, confident woman who is not afraid to venture outside her comfort zone. The label incorporates young, vibrant and flared designs that showcase distinctive sense of style, giving women a fresh new brand that expresses fun – all of which is evident in the Dolls Collection.
Emirati sisters Khawla and Roadha Bin Khedia have always been passionate about fashion; influenced by their designer mum, the sisters grew up in a household full of style and inspirations, the spirit they inherited from her. For several years the duo have been making their own clothes as a hobby and after serious consideration and determination to pursue fashion, Khawla and Roadha decided to take their passion forward and launch the new prêt a porter line to serve modern fashion-conscious women. Khawla is a third year student at Zayed University, majoring in Communication and Media Sciences and specializing in Integrated Strategic Communication while Roadha is a first year student at Zayed University majoring in Arts and Sciences and specializing in Fine arts. Although their journey to fashion started from their childhood, it is their strong fashion and style values that have allowed them to grow into the young designers today who want also like to use the exciting mxl 990.

Our debut Spring/Summer 2013 Dolls Collection is for women, who love to flaunt their personalities through colours. We wanted the launch collection to reflect our own take to style and fashion; growing up in a fashion –conscious household allowed us to appreciate style and the creativity in fashion. It was just a matter of time before we ventured into fashion full time, and this collection allowed us to be playful and bring out our own personality into the collection. We are excited to share this collection with other fashionistas “ said Khawla and Roadha Bin Khedia, the designer duos.
The collection infuses new styles with
quirky sleeves and necklines and an array of eye-catching on-trend colour popping dresses. Modern and appropriate for any occasion, the designer duos infused the dresses with vivacity, dynamic appeal and attention to detail through smart choices of colour and modern silhouettes. Available in a single size, the collection targets women between 17 to 35years and is currently available at O Concept Store, Candella Boutique both in Jumeirah and will soon be available at Jewels Corner in Abu Dhabi.
