My ‘Man of Steel’ Movie Review

If you worry about spoilers from me, don’t worry.  There’s nothing to spoil about the Superman story, we all know it by heart I think.  He is one of our favorite superhero for 75 years now and if you don’t know him, what planet are you from?

So back to what I think of the ‘Man of Steel’ movie staring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Ruselle Crowe , Diane Lane, Kevin Costner and Christopher Meloni among others.  I think it’s a fantastic movie!  All the elements of the Superman we all know and love is there but with a little twist.  I love how they reinvented the Clark Kent and Cal-el story and gave him more substance and depth.

The movie was nicely done, you will be move with the emotion of all the drama and struggle the main characters are feeling and you will get pumped with the magnificent fight scenes!   The movie is fantastic.  I love it!  This is included in my favorite Superman movies!

I also think this is a perfect Father’s Day movie.  Showing the relationship between son and father, the kind of love and trust a father can and should give to his son that will make or break  his character in the future.   I was touched so much with the movie I even caught myself shedding some tears! (I was even caught by my seatmate Tatak Digista) wiping my tears!)

Some did not like the new costume but for me I love it.  It has a touch of modern yet vintage feel.

Man of Steel staring Henry Cavill

If I have to rate the movie from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest, I give it a 9.9 .  There’s just one tiny loophole I saw towards the end but it is very minor and can be ignored, the story and the entire movie is good anyway!

Please watch the ‘Man of Steel’ showing in Philippine movie houses today, June 12, 2013 distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

If you want to know more about the production notes or the reason behind the change of the costume you may read this Man of Steel post.  Or if you can’t get enough of Superman you may want to check out  Man of Steel Defender of Earth exhibit .

Stay gorgeous everyone!
