Air Aisia Zest in Manila Blogger Launch at Clawdaddy New Orleans

Filipino Low Cost Carrier ZestAir has been rebranded as AirAsia Zest to reflect its partnership with AirAsia, the leading and largest low-cost carrier in Asia and voted as the World’s Best Low Cost Airline in the annual World Airline Survey by Skytrax for five consecutive years from 2009 – 2013. In line with this premiere bloggers from Manila were invited to an exclusive dinner to give them a sneak-preview of what to expect from the new route offerings and services of Air Asia Zest which now flies from Manila.

Jonathan Yabut, The Apprentice Asia Grand Winner and Air Asia Philippines Executive was there to talk about the exciting new things to look forward to with the rebranding. To get all of us more excited some fun Instagram and Twitter game was announced wherein we could win round trip air tickets for two to any international destination via Air Aisia Zest or round trip tickets to a local destination of our choice. Unfortunately I did not win boohoo hahaha, but I already feel like a winner dinning and having fun with the celebrity bloggers who won the games like Divine Lee, Laureen Uy, Chuckie Dreyfus (and wife Yen Dreyfus)

Luckily Air Asia Zest was so happy with the turn-out of the event that they announced that all the bloggers present will join them at Air Aisia’s maiden/ inaugural flight to Macau on December 6, 2013! Whoopeee! I can’t wait to travel with them!

can't wait to fly with this bunch!
Btw, AirAsia Zest operates a fleet of 13 aircraft and currently servicing nine (9) domestic and four (4) international routes from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). They now also fly to Miri! Miri is the second largest city in the Malaysian state of Sarawak on Borneo. The discovery of oil 100 years ago transformed Miri from a quiet fishing village into a wealthy city. It has four National Parks each offering distinct attractions: Gunung Mulu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for its caves and limestone formations; Niah was the discovery site of prehistoric human remains; Lambir Hills has stunning waterfalls and wildlife; and Loagan Bunut is ideal for hiking and birdwatching.
