A month ago, I informed you all about the coming of Bio-Oil in the Philippines and I told you that I will post an in-depth review about this product after. I’ve been using Bio-Oil since the day I got it and here’s what I think of it.

This product is very popular worldwide as it is said proven to improve the appearance of Scars,Stretch marks,Uneven skin tone,Aging skin and Dehydrated skin. One of the breakthrough ingredients in Bio-Oil is PurCellin Oil which according to it’s manufactures that reduces the thickness its formulation and improving its spreadability.

- I love that the product is easily absorbed by the skin and unlike other oil products it is not greasy and it doesn’t feel icky on the skin.
- The scent is also nice, kinda relaxing, probably because of the lavender oil ingredients.
- I tried it on a weird scar mark I got on the side of my thighs as you can see on the photo above. There is a slight lightening of the scar. I also notice that the skin in that area of my thighs feels softer and smoother and much more supple compared to the other side that I have not applied Bio-Oil that often.
- As a skincare product, it is best to use this before you go to shower, it softens the skin and make it less dry after even if you don’t apply lotion.
Do I recommend Bio-Oil?
A lot of moms I know swear by this product even before it arrived here in the Philippines. I still have yet to see the outstanding result on the scar on thighs but as a skincare product I definitely recommend this if you want baby soft smooth skin.

Wow! I don’t use anything aside from lotion for my skin but I badly need a help with my stretch marks so maybe I’ll give this a try! How long does one usually consume a bottle if used moderately?

I’ve been using Bio-Oil on my stretch marks for about a week now and I can totally say that there is quite an improvement. Some, most especially the small ones, are starting to lighten. Hope I will really get a positive result on this one after maybe a month of using.
My friends also recommend this product as stretch mark remover but I haven’t bought it yet. I’ll get one later nga, I thought it’s expensive kasi.
Recently, I’ve been using oil (from lotion to oil) for my hands before I sleep. Other than it’s softening features, which you can get from any oil product, I love that Bio-Oil improves other skin problems. It’s kind of pricey though, but maybe the results are better. Let us know how it goes! 🙂
