Sampling Carmen’s Best Artisanal Ice Cream

Ice cream is one of my family’s comfort food. We buy it when we feel like it most especially when my daughter screams for “acosh” .  I’m not spoiling her I’m just giving her reward for trying to say a word or anything that is close enough or sounds like it.  Plus the fact that mommy likes icecrem too se no struggle about wanting and not wanting to buy it haha.

Anyway, we have tried almost all the icecream out there, trust me, dirty ice cream, sossy ice cream or middle class ice cream, Korean, Japanese, etc etc lol and yes even artisanal ice cream.lol!

When Nuffnang Philippines invited me over for a Carmen’s Best Ice Cream testing at Echo Store in Serendra of course I went inspite of my busy schedule.

The timing couldn’t be perfect as that day it was so hot and humid and the weather makes me feel I’m having fever!

Let the taste testing begin.

Carmen’s Best owner Paco Magsaysay wanted us to try their new flavors which is Pistachio, Hokey Pokey, Cereal Milk, Madagascar Vanilla and Kahlua Coffee.

The ice cream was served one after every after dish but they served Pistachio first so we can tell Paco what we think of it and if we can tell the difference with other brands selling Pistachio flavor. I can say that you can actually taste Pistachio in there and it is not too creamy or sweet like the other brands I’ve tried especially the ones you can see loitering around the PowerPlant Mall. Hehe.

I was only able to try 3 of the 5 flavors because I was on a rush to my next event! Sigh I wish I stayed longer haha!

Clockwise: Hokey Pokey and Cream Milk
Hokey Pokey had this creamy milky nutty goodness, there sort of some chunks of sweet stuff kinda like speculous chunks or sort haha. The Cream Milk is very sweet and salty vanilla caramel like flavor to me. Both equally good but I must say Pistachio is my winner among the three new flavors I’ve tried.

Before I left, I raided the Echo Store freezer to see which flavors Carmen’s Best Ice Cream have, and behold! OMG! A lot of good stuff I wanna try soon!

I’m glad Paco gave us some GCs so we can get 3 pints at least haha! A pint of Carmen’s Best Artisanal Ice Cream is about Php320.00 -Php350.00 each and they don’t have it in any other size but the pint so as to keep you wanting more! Teehee!  Carmen’s Best Ice Cream can be bought at all Echo Stores nationwide.

Meanwhile at the Echo Store, while waiting for more ice cream to be served. We had the lotsa organic and veggie dishes to try out as well.

Vegetable Salad and Lumpia. The peanut sauce made this veggie dish a little more interesting. Although the serving size was too many for me to endure. I would have to have a different dressing for my salad. Maybe some balsamic vinegar on the side?

And some pesto pasta and tri-pasta. Looking at it I wish I had a bite or two!

Anyway, the Echo Store is such a haven of everything healthy and organic and the price is not that bad.

This is a perfect place to eat in for the Lenten Season.

  1. That ice cream looks amazing. I love the sophisticated flavors. Pistachio is my favorite ice cream, but for some reason it’s hard to find where I live. Very few places seem to carry it.
