Is Minion Speak Actually Baby Talk? My Minions Movie Review

minions

Where did the Minions come from? That will be the question that the movie will be answering from you. But on a personal note, watching the Minions Movie was my ray of sunshine on this cold rainy night.

Met Bob,  Kevin and Stuart,  the three brave Minions who went out to save their tribe.  How and why?  Watch the movie!

All I can say was the Minions movie was one of the best feel good movie I have seen as of late. It made me laugh from start to finish. There never was a dull moment. Every scene was worth it to be there.  The one-and-a-half hour was packed with all the best scenes you could imagine. The humor was so universal despite of the some kinda language barrier or the era. I loved how it showed the little yellow critters history that led them to meeting their Despicable Me boss Gru.

Watching the movie I realized something. That action speaks better than words. I mean even if the Minions speak Minion talk, we all understood them, especially the babies who watched the movie with us. Yes, the movie is kid friendly and having the movie general patronage rated, kids of all ages are allowed.

I was seated with a toddler, probably 1 and a half to 2 1/2 years old. She could not speak straight yet but she was babbling. When the movie started and the Minions started talking she was so attentive as if someone was speaking her language! She understood whatever the Minions were saying and she was laughing like crazy ! It was like a real “Look who’s Talking”  moment.  I could not stop thinking that probably Minions Speak is Baby Talk or I missed the memo that the Minions creator did learn Baby Talk and applied it with the Minions Speak?

I think one of the main reason I enjoyed the movie that much was the baby’s reaction to the movie, it was priceless.  I was hearing her babble like the Minions Speak and she would respond accordingly. While I as an adult was reacting based on what I was seeing, their actions, the context of what was happening. The toddler was reacting to the “words” spoken by the Minions. It was mega ultra fun movie! Don’t mind me I’m just blabbing hahaha!

I highly recommend this movie to everyone. My popcorn rating from 10 being the highest is 10!

There are so many characters to look out for and if you have all the 10 Minions toys from McDonald’s they all play a significant role in the movie. I want to tell more especially the cameos and all the “Bosses”, villains and cons who appeared in the movie, but I think it will be better if you spot them yourself. Watch it!

My fearless forecast for the most popular Halloween 2015 costumes would be the Minions. A lot would want to be Kevin, Bob or Stuart or wear denim overhauls and be oh so yellow! There will be Scarlet Overkill, Herb, the Queen of England, or even Gru!

As for me and my sister, I think we have decided who we are gonna be! Hahahaha! I am the boss she is the minion!

Thank you Globe Telecom @enjoyglobe and HOOQ for inviting me over the potato night block screening!

How about you, have you seen the Minions Movie yet?

Stay gorgeous everyone!

Update:
I was just wondering why is there no female Minions? I am thinking, their female version might be the actual void that is missing in the life of the Minions and no actually finding a Boss? Just some of the weird things I think about when it’s raining hahaha!

Doing my research I learned that Minions speak a mixture of Spanish, English, French, and Italian, with additional elements of Russian and Korean.

Despicable Me 3 will be showing in 2017!
