It’s been almost a year since we moved in our new condo. We didn’t bring much of our stuff from our old house because the condo is small. We are still warming up the new place and we are just buying little things here and there. We needed something that is multi-purpose, and compact. When you are used to living in a bigger space and then suddenly had to move to a smaller one, adjustmets are huge. You start to let go of things you used to cling on like memorabilias, collection of sorts and anything else that you have not use in over a year. There’s some sort of freedom in letting go all of those stuff. Makes your life lighter and your home space bigger to make room for something new and better. We have started to sort all the things we packed from the move and gave them away for donation, gift or throw things out since November.
My sister and I have been furniture and home window shopping since the year started. We are both looking for a nice home office table to suit our room size and our personality. We have seen a number of prospective items we wanted but we want to get something we won’t be throwing away after a year or so.
Just this weekend, we visited Tiendesitas Furniture and Handicrafts Village to see what’s in there . It was one of the new things to see at the building of Tiendesitas.
It was a feast in they eyes as Filipino craftmanship are showcased in each piece of furnitures and handicrafts you can find at the venue.
The Furniture and Handicrafts Village of Tiendesitas covers two floors of building C. Walking through the hallways give you a sense of Pinoy Pride as many of the shop owners make and source their products from places like Pampanga to Baguio and Iloilo to Mindanao.
I fell in love with ft his puzzle like furniture, I particularly love this Last Supper wood carving.
Did you know that most of the shop owners here started their business at their very own homes.
Tiendesitas is known for the hawker-like food village that caters delicious food and all around Pinoy bands, but there is a goldmine of Pinoy Artistry other than food and music that’s revealed in the new building of Tiendesitas.
Because a lot of the furniture and handicrafts in Tiendesitas are made with heart, a lot of the furniture here exudes a unique character, warmth and personality.
