One of the reasons I made a blog is that I don’t want to forget happy experiences, people, places and things I come across. I just had this unreasonable fear of memory loss when I get older . I did suffer for temporary amnesia awhile back in my life and it was not fun (that is another story to tell that I may or may not want to share in here).
Finding Dory was a sequel to the hit movie Finding Nemo. Story plot was when Dory suddenly remembered she had a family and that she should look for them. The adventure revolves around how a fish with short term memory loss can find her way into finding someone she can’t even remember.
All Dory know’s is, when life get’s tough “Just Keep Swimming!”
The movie shows that no matter how our memory fails, there is something deep inside us that will make us remember, especially when it is something very important to us.
I watched Finding Dory on Father’s Day with my family courtesy of Globe Broadband and I was delighted that my dd who has autism and could not stay in one place for long periods of time like an hour and 45 minutes was able to finish the movie and stayed on her sit the entire time.
I think it was because the open ocean and the sea creatures in the movie are colorful, very eye catching . Plus DD likes Nemo and Dory with their big eyes and smiles, it is someting that my daughter enjoys. For the adults, the movie is not dragging and very engaging. The new characters are very funny and witty , I’m sure you’ll pick one or two favorite aside from Marlin, Dory and Nemo.
Some characters and things you might fall in love with was the Octupus/ Septupus , the pearls, the pipe buddies, the sea lions, Sigourney Weaver and the crazy bird. I also love the short-film before the movie about a cute newborn bird. I’m not giving spoilers for those who have not seen the movie yet. All I can say is that if you loved Finding Nemo you’ll love Finding Dory as well. Watch it and let me know what you think!
Stay gorgeous everyone!
