My Passenger Movie Review

If you get stranded on a migrating spaceship, who would you want to be stranded with and why?

I’m sure you have heard of this premise before remember the “island question”.  This was the kind situation the Passenger movie was about.  But just like any other getting stranded situation, there are challenges along the way and this was also tacked in the movie.

While all cinemas in the country were showing Metro Manila Film Festival, I was one of the few people who got invited for the advanced special screening of Passenger held at screening room of Columbia Pictures in the Philippines.

I must say I enjoyed the movie especially the first ever buck naked exposure of the now sexy Chris Pratt.  Jennifer Lawrence was also an eye candy in the film and loved all the outfit she wore in it.  I don’t think naming JLaw character Aurora in the movie was not a coincidence to the the Sleeping Beauty princess!

Criss Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence had a great chemistry in the movie.  Passenger played on the human emotion , survival instincts and basic instinct.

I love the the CGI and set design, the grandconcourse and the view deck was amazing, even the swimming pool  it gave me the goosebumps and awe factor.  I’ve always dreamed of space travel.  In fact I even applied for Mars One a few years back.  I made the short list but not the final list! Hah!

Jim (CHRIS PRATT) and Aurora (JENNIFER LAWRENCE) walk thru the Hibernation Bay on date night in Columbia Pictures’ PASSENGERS

Red alert on the Avalon for Jim (CHRIS PRATT) and Aurora (JENNIFER LAWRENCE) in Columbia Pictures’ PASSENGERS.

While I wished they showed more beofe the actual movie ending, the film was good and I was even hinted that maybe there will be a sequel to it! Hmmm!  That would be exciting!

Jennifer Lawrence (Aurora) and Chris Pratt (Jim) star in an exciting action-thriller about two strangers who are on a 120-year journey to another planet when their hibernation pods wake them 90 years too early.  Jim and Aurora are forced to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction as the ship teeters on the brink of collapse, jeopardizing the lives of the passengers on the greatest mass migration in human history.
Movie is presented by Columbia Pictures in association with LStar Capital and Village Roadshow Pictures and Wanda Pictures, an Original Film / Company Films / Start Motion Pictures production, a film by Morten Tyldum, Passengers.   Directed by Morten Tyldum.

Passenger is showing in Philippine theaters starting January 4, 2016!

Stay gorgeous everyone!
