Last May 13, 2020 , realme Philippines introduced the realme 6 series with the realme 6i with the White Milk and Green Tea variant. Little did I know, realme has another pretty little thing hiding in their closet, the realme 6i Blue Soda variant, and I am one of the first to try it out ! Here’s my review :

Admit it, one of the first things you consider when buying a new gadget is the looks. If it’s pretty enough of suits your aesthetics, it will tick-off your to-have list. I have been playing with the realme 6i Blue Soda for 4 days now and I am very happy and impressed with it . Of course my bias to the real pretty Soda Blue color it’s just the perfect phone for a “fashion” conscious or kikay me, as they call it.
Why won’t it be as attractive as it is , it is the First Master Design smartphone in the Philippines (same designer of the Master Edition smartphones of realme in X series)! A Classic Design From Naoto Fukasawa
The realme 6i maintains the classic masterpiece design. It has adopted the rare spray coating process, and the phone has been polished hundreds of times. As a result, the back of the phone shows an advanced matte visual effect with a delicate and comfortable finish. – realme

This is one of the best selling points of the realme smartphones regardless of model. But for a mid-range price smartphone brand that packs a superior camera capabilities , the realme 6i Blue Soda take photos really well.

During the lockdown, ECQ, MECQ to GCG one of my favorite thing to do is to take Urabn Landscape shots of Metro Manila ! I took all these shots from the rooftop of my condo building and I am lucky to have a great 360 cityscape view.

Battery Life
In the video blog above, I used the realme 6i mostly , I was on the rooftop for almost 3 hours with it turned on all the time because I alternately do timelapse, take photos or narrate the entire scene with it . My Blue Soda didn’t remind me that it’s low battery already.
Prior to my unboxing, as soon as I got hold of the unit, I have not charged the realme 6i and just relied on the power already in it when I got it. It was totally sealed and brand new and the battery last for 2 days without charging! To think I have to set-up the new phone, download all the updates and download all the apps I use with the wi-fi on. I also took photos and videos with it !

Do I recommend it?
Since 2020 started I have converted to using realme phones. If you have been following my social media and have read some of my blogs, and my vlogs since the year started most of my photos and videos were taken using the realme 5 Pro. I’ve never been impressed with a smartphone that I complete forgot about my DSLR cam. Now with the realme 6i Blue Soda is just an eye candy it’s the smartphone I want to carry with me even without the protective case on because I don’t want to hide the beauty of it. It looks cute but it’s a fierce smartphone in terms camera features but a real friendly price point. What else not to love!
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The realme 6i Blue Soda variant also has two storage configurations: 3GB RAM + 64GB storage for Php7,990 and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage for Php9,990. It will be available in the official realme stores on both Lazada and Shopee starting June 04. People may also avail of this particular variant in all realme stores and kiosks nationwide.
