Getting My Own Domain

Help! I am seriously thinking about getting my own domain. Should I give it a go or not? What are the pros and cons of having your own domain? Is it hard to set-up? Is it hard to maintain? Tell me your opinion about this please! Thanks a lot in advance.

  1. @ Chris thanks I think I’m giving it a go this blog is PR 0 but my other blog is PR 3

@ BAdet sayang we weren’t introduced sana sa next Nuffnang event magkita tayo. Cool doon mo nabili open pa ba ang bazaar?

@ Chuvaness di ka kasi nagregister!

@ Ditesco. I want that one the one I don’t need to tell everyone to change my URL. Thanks for the tips 🙂 help me out.

  2. Yes. You should definitely get your own domain, if you serious on blogging for business. What Chris said is true, however there are ways around that and that is through a permanent redirect of your website to the new domain. It is good to have one because it belongs to you and you can take it anywhere (new host) with you in the future, should you decide to change your host. Blogger will still host it for you and will continue to be free, only this time with your own custom domain. It is very easy to set up. If you need help, let me know.

  3. argh, hinde pumasok ang comment ko

anyway, mas ok if you get a domain go go go.

  4. Ako rin, I’m thinking of getting my own domain na. Pero nalilito talaga ako, own domain and getting a web host are 2 different things.

By the way, parang I saw a glimpse of you and other Nuffnangers nung Sony Event, kaya lang I was just about leaving kasi nagpromise ako sa mom ko na pupunta kaming World Trade Bazaar. Dun ko rin nabili yung AnyLock sealing device (http://badudets.blogspot.com/2008/12/product-spotlight-anylock-sealing.html)

    =)
