This was one of the saddest sight I ever have to see in my entire life. My daughter undergoing an EEG test (neuro test). But the saddest was the result showing she has epileptiform discharges most prevalent when she is asleep. Meaning, aside from her autism she also has epilepsy (but the doctor has prescribed medication she will have to take for 2 years straight). Out of 7 children having autism only one of them is female. My child was the lucky one. Such innocence, such beautiful child. All I could ask is “Why?”
Then some might ask why do I have to share these pictures. One for awareness, for myself and everyone about this condition, which is the key to understanding. Two, acceptance that she is already in this state that no use beating my head on the wall about the why’s. Three, to let it all go all my fears and confusion and do something.

I know it’s sad and scary when our kids are sick, especially when we can’t “fix” them. It was brave of you to share these photos.
I walk for autism awareness – my best friend since high school has a grandson with autism. He’s a great little guy. I can’t “fix” him so I try to help raise money for research, hoping somebody will find something that might help him and the other great little kids one day.
Here’s a blog that I follow written by a mom of 6 year-old boy with autism, in case you want to check it out:
